Abstract/Summary:
Mobile phones have become an essential electronic products in daily life.Overusing of mobile games will lead to dependence on mobile games.Those who rely on mobile games always spend a lot of time immersed in the games,without being aware of the passage of time.Time perception is a basic feature of human cognition and behavior and plays an important part in our life.Exercise can promote brain,improve cognitive function,delay brain aging,and even improve the individual addiction.Previous studies use time production task to explore the characteristics of time perception used in problematic online games.But less focus on the influence of aerobic exercise to time perception,there are few about the relationship between acute aerobic exercise and mobile game dependents.This study use the event related potential technology to explore the brain mechanism of acute aerobic exercise affecting the time perception of mobile game dependents.Therefore,this research will make a preliminary discussion on the following two questions: 1)Use the time discrimination task to discuss the characteristics of the time discrimination of mobile game dependents;2)The effect of acute aerobic exercise on time perception of mobile game dependents.The aim is to understand the brain processing characteristics of the time information processing in mobile game dependents,and to prove that aerobic exercise can improve the problem of mobile game dependence from the perspective of time perception,so as to provide a reference for the prevention of mobile phone addiction to find an effective exercise intervention program.Both experiments use the time discrimination task,using two different types of pictures as visual stimuli.The standard time interval was 500 ms,and the comparison time interval was 300 ms,500ms and 700 ms.Subjects were asked to judge the length of the comparison time interval.First,20 mobile game dependents and 20 non-mobile game dependents aged 18-25 were selected,and the inter-group design was adopted to preliminarily explore the characteristics of time perception of mobile game dependents through the duration discrimination task.Secondly,20 mobile game dependents(20.35±1.89 years old)were selected to participate in the second experiments.Using the intra-group crossover design.Subjects were required to start the duration discrimination task test after both experimental conditions of exercise intervention and sitting.Collect behavioral and EEG data.The results show that:First,Compared with the non-mobile dependent,the mobile games dependent has fewer correct judgments of the interval.Second,the amplitude of CNV in the mobile game dependence group was larger than that in the non-mobile game dependence group.Compared with neutral picture,the amplitude of CNV induced by mobile games pictures was more negative,and the latency of CNV induced by mobile game pictures was shorter.The amplitude of CNV induced by midline brain region is larger than that of bilateral brain region.Thirdly,the accuracy of interval after exercise was significantly higher than that measured after sitting.Fourth,the amplitude and latency of CNV induced by exercise are not significantly different from that induced by sitting.The latency of CNV induced by mobile game images was significantly shorter than that induced by neutral images.The amplitude of CNV induced by midline brain region was more negative than that induced by bilateral brain region,and the latency of CNV induced by midline brain region was significantly longer than that of bilateral brain region.In conclusion,we think that mobile game dependents have worse time discrimination ability at still pictures,different picture types will affect the brain processing characteristics of individuals for time information.Acute aerobic exercise affects the time perception of mobile game dependents,it shows that subjective time interval after exercise is prolonged.
