Research On Style Innovation Of New Meticulous Brush Painting

Since 1978,Chinese contemporary art,including oil painting,ink painting,installation,and action art,has developed rapidly,but the development of meticulous brush painting has been keeping a slow pace.“New meticulous brush painting” has been a hot topic in the field of domestic art since its appearance because its emergence officially marked the new era of this kind of painting,which means it has been eventually accepted as a member of China’s contemporary art.With innovation as the research perspective and through image analysis,contrast demonstration and other methods,this paper takes “new meticulous brush painting” as the research object,aiming to figure out the differences in visual experience brought by“new meticulous brush painting” and the traditional painting style.The theory concluded by the paper will provide reference for the author’s painting practice in the future.This paper is divided into three parts,among which the first part explains how the "new meticulous brush painting" has formed,and from the aspects of social economy,humanistic thought and painting group,why it appears.As the key part of the paper,the second chapter first analyzes the three features of the new brush painting,including the intertextuality of conceptional expression,the fictionality of plots,and the delexical use of contexts,and then it elaborates the differences between the new and traditional meticulous brush painting through five kinds of visual construction language,highlighting the innovativeness of the "new meticulous brush painting" and the impact brought by the adoption of new medium on the painting.The third chapter analyzes the developmental disadvantages of "new meticulous brush painting" at current stage,and from his own experience,the author states the influence of "new meticulous brush painting" on him and offers two bold speculations on the trend of its development.Finally,it sums up the necessity of meticulous painting in today’s society and the importance of "new meticulous brush painting" to the reconstruction of meticulous painting language.
