| Liszt is a representative composer of the Romantic period and his proportion and position in the history of piano art are unmatched by others."Années de Pèlerinage" is Liszt’s title piano set,divided into three parts,the Swiss part,the Italian part including the supplement "Venice and Napoli",and the unnamed third volume,a total of 26 pieces.In this work,he follows his own concept of title music,with a detailed title for each work and the choice of a poem that matches the atmosphere of the piece as a pre-score inscription,creating a blend of musicality and literature.Half of those inscriptions came from the verses of Byron.Therefore,The author considers focusing on the verses of Byron to be an excellent perspective in exploring the The Années de Pèlerinage(Première Année-Suisse).By combining the title and poem with the phrase,the plain texts are transformed into stereo acoustics,and by analyzing the performance techniques and compositional characteristics of the work,we are able to better understand the work from the perspective of both literature and music and building emotional connection with the works.This paper is divided into three chapters.Through literature analysis,induction and summary method,empirical research method and experience summary method,this paper is able to analyze the five works related to Byron in Liszt’s Années de Pèlerinagestep by step.The first chapter is the background of "Années de Pèlerinage".It is divided into two sections;the first section is the introduction of Liszt’s life,and the second is the creation background of "Années de Pèlerinage",which involves Liszt’s time background,the creation tendency of romantic music in the 19 th century and the creation background of "Années de Pèlerinage".The second chapter is the creative characteristics of "Années de Pèlerinage",which also contains two separated sections.The first section mainly introduces the creative characteristics of "Années de Pèlerinage" from three aspects,namely the title music,natural scenery and sister art,and Their relationship with "Années de Pèlerinage".The second section talks about the connection of literature and poetry,which involves the history of the combination of literature and poetry from China and abroad.The third chapter is an analysis of five works related to Byron in The Années de Pèlerinage: "Au lac De Wallenstadt" "Orage" "Vallee D’obermann" "Eglogue" "Les Cloches De Geneve".It is divided into five sections,With each section discussing a piece of work from three different aspects.The first aspect is music analysis,which analyzes the composition structure,melody characteristics and accompaniment texture of the work building upon the work previously done by others.The second aspect is the analysis of the poem,which combines the composition structure,music style,accompaniment texture,the poem and words as well as the author’s personal understanding,in order to interpret the poem,and Look out for the parts that are consistant with the work and the phrase.The third aspect is the performance analysis,which analyzes the performance techniques,music style,music terminology,music mood and other aspects of the work to help grasp the performance of these five works.This paper integrates the five works related to Byron in The Années de Pèlerinage,and reflects the close connection between music and literature by interpreting and analyzing the composition characteristics,relevant verses and musical structure of the works.Liszt took the advantage of the typical creative features of the Romantic period,including art,natural scenery and title music,enriching the expression and form of music and making the pieces easier to understand by the general public. |
