A Study On The Design Of Picture Book Of Folk Festival Images ——A Case Study Of The Miao In Southeastern Guizhou

Traditional culture is the soul of a country and plays a key role in the prosperity of a nation.It is extremely urgent to strengthen the education of excellent traditional Chinese culture.As an important part of China’s traditional culture,folk festival culture needs to be included in the patriotic education of the new generation of children.For children,picture books are the best carrier of enlightenment education.The vivid images,bright colors and rich content form of picture books can directly convey the content of the works.It is imperative for Chinese children to have access to the inheritance and education of intangible cultural heritage from an early age.This paper takes the festival culture of the Miao people in southeast Guizhou as an example to explore the innovative design of festival images in picture books.This paper is divided into four parts.The first part describes the research background and significance,and analyzes the educational,economic and theoretical influences brought by the combination of folk festival culture and children’s picture books.The second part and the third part respectively summarize the development status of folk festival images in children’s picture books,as well as the application prospect in children’s picture books,and further clarify the necessity of exploration.The fourth part of the design practice starts from sorting out the audience and characteristics of picture books,and on the basis of fully excavating and retaining the decorative characteristics of Miao people in southeast Guizhou,follows the basic principles of children’s picture book design to create picture books,focusing on innovation in illustration style,cover design,binding technology and layout design.This paper tries to explore a design path of combining folk festival images of Miao in southeast Guizhou with children’s picture books,and tries to form a referable value for the intervention of folk festival images of other ethnic groups in the design of children’s picture books through this path.
