A Study On Basic Characteristics Of Stage Lighting In Broadway Musical

Since twentieth Century,Broadway musicals have become the "goers" in world drama and the "leader" in the musical.It not only inherited and carried forward the tradition and essence of British and European musicals,but also embodied and represented the trend and trend of European and American musical development and the mainstream of Contemporary Western musicals.The lighting of Broadway musical has its unique artistic characteristics,which can create infinite changes in limited space and time.This paper takes Broadway musical lighting as the research object,mainly through the investigation of its background origin,development track and classic drama case analysis,explores its performance and production,appreciates its dance aesthetic characteristics and lighting design skills,and explores its lighting creation method and team work mode.At the same time,according to the situation of Broadway musical tour,the differences and characteristics of domestic and foreign musical lighting are investigated and compared.On this basis,the author thinks about the lighting in Chinese musical performance,and puts forward personal thinking and suggestions.
