In the late Ming and early Qing dynasties, the society was in turmoil, the regime changed, and the development of literature and art was interwoven with "retro" and "innovation".During this period,Lan Ying,as a professional painter, established himself in the painting world and constantly improved his vision and accomplishment. In the exploration of archaizing practice,he completed the innovative breakthrough of boneless heavy color painting, pushing the expression form of boneless heavy color painting to a new level.Lan Ying’s landscape painting style has undergone decades of evolution, and finally formed the painting appearance of "integrating north and south, simple and vigorous",which has also been accepted by literati painters.Lan ying’s spirit of "opening the present by borrowing from the past" and his unique painting style are worthy of our exploration and inheritance. This paper systematically sorts out and analyzes the reasons for the formation of the artistic style of Lan Ying’s landscape painting, the painting appearance and its inheritance and influence in the development of later generations of landscape painting, and strives to make a comprehensive analysis of the style of Lan Ying’s landscape painting,so as to have a guiding significance for future scholars’ study of the ancient world. At the same time,it can also provide a reference basis for future students to learn how to "open the present through the ancient".Through the study of Lanying’s landscape painting style,we can further clearly understand the cultural connotation of traditional Chinese painting, and recognize the responsibility and weight of cultural and artistic revival in the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
