| Moral judgement is always a hot issue at the field of interpersonal interaction,legal systerm,and moral education,which means exploring the underlie mechanism is necessary.Christina and Paul designed an experiment to explore how an actor’s moral conflict influence individual’s moral judgement.They found that adults prefer to rate a person who experienced moral conflict but overcome it as superior moral than a person who without any conflict,even though their final behavior were the same.To validate the result in Chinese culture,the current study replicated original study.Chinese adults(N1 = 60,age = 23.28±4.19,male/female = 25/35,N2 = 50 age = 23.12±4.51,male/female = 12/38,N3 = 47,age = 23.72±5.03,male/female = 8/39)were recruited.The independent variable was whether the actor experienced moral conflict(conflict,unconflict)before their final action,and dependent variable was the moral judgement.Result show: 1)consist with original research,Chinese adults regard actors who experienced moral conflict as morall superior than those without any conflict;2)by generalized estimating equation,we found that Chinese adults preferred person with moral conflicted more than American adults did.It provided more evidence for the view that actors’ moral conflict have impact on individual’s moral judgement,specifically,under both background,actors who experienced moral conflict before moral behaviour were rated as superior moral than those who not. |
