Research On Zheng Xuan’s "Mao Shi Pu"

"Mao Shi Pu" is an important poetic work written by Zheng Xuan in his later years in the Eastern Han Dynasty,and it has a pivotal position in the history of "The Book of Songs".However,"Mao Shi Pu" has not attracted enough attention from the academic circles.At present,there are various degrees of deficiencies in research angles,research content,and research methods,and there is a lack of comprehensive research on "Mao Shi Pu" as a whole.Based on this,the research focus of this article is developed from the following aspects:The first part is the introduction.It mainly includes the source of topic selection,research status,research purpose and significance,innovations,and a comprehensive overview of the topic selection and research situation of the article.The second part is the compilation and circulation of "Mao Shi Pu".First of all,the compilation of "Mao Shi Pu" mainly includes the editing background and the editor Zheng Xuan.The research on the compilation background mainly analyzes the writing needs of "Mao Shi Pu" from the political and cultural levels.The editor Zheng Xuan’s research is based on "Mao Shi Pu",which mainly analyzes Zheng Xuan’s academic status and guiding academic thoughts.Secondly,the research on the circulation of editions of "Mao Shi Pu" tries to show the original text of "Mao Shi Pu" and sort out the situation of edition circulation in different eras.The third part is the study of genealogy writing styles of "Mao Shi Pu",including the sources,characteristics and causes of genealogy styles.First of all,it has both the essential characteristics of preface and the unique characteristics of genealogy.Therefore,"Mao Shi Pu" belongs to the preface,which is expressed as a spectrum.It is an innovative form of disintegrating poetry in the Han Dynasty.Secondly,the genealogy style is derived from the weekly genealogy,and influenced by the chronology of the "Historical Records",it finally appears as a genealogy style that combines the sequence of the spectrum,the text,and the table of the genealogy.Finally,the analysis of the causes is divided into four aspects: the body style and content requirements of The Book of Songs,the influence of social reality factors,the influence of internal factors in literature,and the influence of Zheng Xuan’s personal factors.The fourth part is the original ideas of "Mao Shi Pu" interpretation of poems,a concrete analysis of the way of interpretation of poems and its theoretical basis.The poetry interpretation method of "Mao Shi Pu" involves the inheritance and development of multiple methods of interpreting poetry,and the theoretical basis of the method of interpreting poetry is standing on the height of the era’s theory of poetry interpretation,and to a certain extent,it has broken through the era.Limitations,with extremely high research value.The fifth part is the study of Confucian political education poetics.Starting from the inheritance and development of the Confucian poetics system of Confucian politics and education from "Mao Shi Pu",it can be divided into three aspects: putting etiquette into law—the political and religious means combining etiquette and law;Beauty is pierced by remonstrance—the construction method of poetic discourse involves specific issues such as the Chen poetry system,the act of recording poetry,the concept of orthodox,and the arrangement of times and generations.The sixth part is about the later influence of "Mao Shi Pu",including the influence of the style and the way of poem interpretation.The influence of style is divided into two aspects: one is the influence on the style of later genealogy documents;the other is the application of enlightenment to academic research.The influence of the way of interpreting poetry is mainly in two aspects: one is the maturity of the way of epic interpreting poetry;the other is to promote the development of geographical research in The Book of Songs.
