This paper mainly starts from the text of Based on the Letters to Disciples on Teaching written by the fifteenth century Sakya master Ngorchen Kunga Zangpo,combines with other Tibetan Buddhism classics,by the analysis and deeply discusses the significance and practical value of Tibetan Buddhism vegetarian practice.This text is divided into four chapters.The first chapter introduces the embryonic from and practice of Tibetan Buddhism vegetarianism.Firstly,the formation of vegetarianism was expounded.Secondly,it discusses the main reasons for the rise of Tibetan Buddhism vegetarian practice.The third part analyzes the reasons and characteristics of vegetarianism in Tibetan Buddhism.The second chapter interprets the works Based on the Letters to Disciples on Teaching,explains the reasons why he carried out vegetarianism and wrote Based on the Letters to Disciples on Teaching,and summarizes his vegetarianism view in Based on the Letters to Disciples on Teaching.The third chapter is the core part of this paper,which analyzes the characteristics of Ngorchen Kunga Zangpo vegetarian practice and explains the inheritance of his vegetarian thought.The fourth chapter discusses the humanistic care and moral significance of Ngorchen Kunga Zangpo’s vegetarian practice.Vegetarianism in Tibetan Buddhism is the external practice form of people’s compassion,and different vegetarians correspond to different degrees of purity and compassion.Although it has always been a controversial topic,vegetarianism in Tibetan Buddhism has the value and significance of The Times.The humanism spirit under the vegetarian thought is analyzed in the 15th century through the discussion of Ngochen Kunga Zangpo’s works.Then explains the self-adjustment of Tibetan Buddhism in the historical evolution and social development to meet the needs of the local society and culture.
