| The aria "My Beloved Baby" is one of the representative excerpts sung by the only tenor Don Ottavio in Mozart’s opera "Don Giovanni".The melody of the song is beautiful,the structure is rigorous and regular,and it is difficult to sing.There are very strict requirements on the breath,rhythm,intonation,etc.,and it has always been regarded as the "touchstone" of the tenor.There are also different emotional expressions in the song,which makes it more challenging for the singer to shape the character image in the play.This paper first introduces the aria "My Beloved Baby",starting from the character image characteristics of Don Ottavio and the inner process of the characters in the opera,and analyzes the role shaping of Don Ottavio in the aria "My Beloved Baby" as well as the key and difficult points of singing in combination with my singing practice. |
