Wei Yingwu,a poet in Tang Dynasty, has not only the ancient style of Han and Wei dynasties, but also the elegance of the Six Dynasties,as well as the characteristics of Tang Dynasty poetry.Wei Yingwu’s poems are mostly composed of five-character ancient poems, but his poems show the characteristics of "ancient poems are like metrical poems" and "metrical poems are like ancient poems".He was influenced by Tao Yuanming,Xie Lingyun and Xie Tiao, but his poems were not confined to them.In addition,Wei Yingwu also showed his own characteristics in the combination of Landscape idyll genres. In the history of reception,Song people’s criticism and imitation of Wei Yingwu’s poetry also promoted the spread of Wei’s poetry in later generations. This thesis is mainly divided into three chapters to study Wei Yingwu’s poems. The first chapter studies the poetic style and style of WeiSuzhouTi.Wei Yingwu’s ancient poems are both archaic and rhythmic, which are characterized by freshness and beauty.Wei Yingwu learned a lot of poets and was good at many genres when writing poems. He wrote the most five-character ancient poems, but he was influenced by the theory of rhythm in the Six Dynasties. Therefore, his poems didn’t all imitate the poems of the ancients, but fused many characteristics. Moreover, because he lived in the prosperous Tang Dynasty and the changing times in the middle Tang Dynasty, his poems had the charm of the prosperous Tang Dynasty.Stephen Owen thought that his best poems were the prosperous Tang Dynasty poems with a little problem, and that he was the last poet in the prosperous Tang Dynasty. The second chapter studies the different personal characteristics of Wei Yingwu’s poems and poets similar to him.Later generations named him as the genre of landscape pastoral poetry together with Wang Wei,Meng Haoran and Liu Zongyuan, but they played different notes, and his personal features were still clearly discernible in common. The artistic conception of his poetry is quiet and quiet.Wang Wei and Meng Haoran are in the prosperous Tang Dynasty, and their poems are in harmony, and their landscape poems are integrated, ethereal and clear.Wei Yingwu saw the prosperous weather of the Tang Dynasty, but he fell into the bleak era of the middle Tang Dynasty. He chose the road of official seclusion.Poetry has the spirit of the prosperous Tang Dynasty, and the landscape described by him is clear and sparse, and its true color is Xiao’s sparse and cold people’s land. The third chapter studies the criticism and pursuit of Wei Yingwu by later generations, and analyzes Wei Yingwu’s poems from the perspective of poets’ poetics, focusing on the Song people.Wei Yingwu’s poems were highly praised after his death, and were widely accepted by later generations after being mentioned and praised by Bai Juyi,Su Shi,Yan Yu and others.Song people’s criticism of Wei Yingwu and poetry’s pursuit of Wei’s poems laid the basic face of Wei Suzhou style’s acceptance in later generations.Specifically,he is good at many poetic genres, each with its own characteristics, and has not become the imitation object with particularly clear style or technique.Later generations’ imitation of his poems is hard to grasp his characteristics,so there are not many similarities between the simulated poems, and there are few works beyond the value of the original poems. In the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the evaluation of Wei Yingwu’s poems mostly followed Su Shi’s and Zhu Xi’s theory of success, and there were many works imitating Wei Yingwu’s poems.
