A Study On National Identity Consciousness Of Miao Yi Intellectuals In Northwest Guizhou During The Period Of The Republic Of China

The Republic of China is a modern country based on the principles of democracy and republicanism.The strategy of the Republic of China to integrate all ethnic groups under the framework of "five ethnic republics" aroused the antipathy of the miao ethnic groups in southwest China,and they called for participating in the construction of a modern state as a nation.At that time,the country was invaded by Japanese imperialism,and the Chinese national consciousness was awakened in the intellectual group of Miao yi in northwest Guizhou,who took an active part in the Anti-Japanese War and the construction of modern country.It is an organic content of modern national history and construction of national identity to highlight the national identity consciousness of modern minority elites in Guizhou through the study of miao yi intellectuals in the northwest of Guizhou during the Republic of China.This paper is mainly divided into four chapters.The first chapter mainly expounds the background of the emergence of national identity consciousness of miao yi intellectuals in northwest Guizhou.Under the complex cultural background,modern national consciousness was introduced into Guizhou,and the collision between traditional culture and new education had a great impact on intellectuals.The second chapter mainly analyzes the awakening of national consciousness of Miao yi intellectuals in northwest Guizhou.Firstly,this paper combs the intellectuals in miao yi in northwest Guizhou and analyzes their constituent factors.Secondly,it analyzes the two major problems faced by miao yi intellectuals in the process of national construction.One is the border crisis of the country and the nation,which awakens the Consciousness of the Chinese nation of Miao yi intellectuals.Secondly,under the framework of "Five Ethnic Groups republic",the subject status of miao And Yi people has not received due attention,and they are neither han nor minority.Therefore,Miao and Yi intellectuals take practical actions to change the current situation of aphasia.The third chapter mainly discusses the modern national identity and construction participation of miao yi intellectuals in northwest Guizhou.Miao yi intellectuals actively participate in the construction of the country.Through a series of analysis on the practice of national,state and social behavior,the representation of national identity consciousness of Miao yi intellectuals from awakening to maturity is presented.The fourth chapter mainly analyzes the reasons and historical evaluation of the national identity consciousness of miao yi intellectuals in northwest Guizhou.This paper analyzes and evaluates the origin of national identity consciousness and points out its significance.To sum up,the awakening of national identity consciousness of miao yi intellectuals in northwest Guizhou in the Period of the Republic of China did not happen overnight.Affected by geographical factors,information is blocked,and the consciousness of national identity has not been stimulated.After the new education was introduced into northwest Guizhou,the identity consciousness of Miao yii intellectuals changed,which is manifested as: from the identity of chieftains,local heads and dynastic countries to the identity of the country.Through studying this process,it is helpful to promote the integration of ethnic minorities into the process of national construction.
