The Study Of Herbert Marcuse’s Historical Subject Thought

Herbert Marcuse,as a representative of western Marxist humanism,put forward a radical political theory.Marcuse believes that in the developed industrial society,human subjectivity is lost and human is smoothly integrated into various forms of social control.On the basis of revealing the cultural dilemma of contemporary people,Marcuse put forward a historical subject thought of human liberation and social reform by reexamining the possibility of "new subject of revolution" under the new situation of developed industrial society.Starting from the basic standpoint of historical materialism,this paper comprehensively interprets marcuse’s text works in different periods,analyzes and explains the theoretical source and multiple theoretical connotations of Marcuse’s historical subject.The full text mainly includes three parts.First of all,on the basis of the comprehensive domestic and foreign literature,this paper investigates the historical background and theoretical origin of Marcuse’s historical subject idea,and specifically clarifies the multicultural background of Marcuse’s historical subject idea.Secondly,through the systematic elaboration of Marcuse’s theory of historical subject,it illustrates the multiple connotations of Marcuse’s historical subject.Through the integration of philosophy,psychoanalysis,aesthetics and critical social theory,Marcuse put forward a unique and diversified theory of "historical subject" for the construction of a new society and the realization of human liberation.Finally,on the basis of the above analysis and demonstration,the thesis comments on Marcuse’s unique pluralistic "historical subject" theory.On the one hand,Marcuse applied Marx’s "labor alienation theory" to the analysis of historical subject thought,revealed the new situation of oppression and alienation caused by the developed industrial society to the subject,and proposed a new perceptual liberation theory of eros liberation and aesthetic revolution.On the other hand,Marcuse’s liberation theory,which appeals to individual inner consciousness liberation,has gone to the erroneous area of idealism,and his academic research is divorced from the masses of the people,and there is a lack of the general masses as an intermediary between criticizing theory and practice.It is inevitable that his theory will eventually fall silent.Marcuse’s history subject,based on the developed industrial society reality,is committed to seeking a new revolution to promote political change and transformation of the main body of the possible,expand the marxist historical theory and the theory of human liberation horizon,enrich the content of the socialist revolution,especially his individual consciousness of nature and man in the field of attention,It expands and deepens the subject theory of Marxist philosophy.However,Marcuse’s historical subject thought has romanticism and idealism,and has a strong humanistic flavor.It deviates from the basic principles of Marxism and has a lot of non-scientific elements.
