In this paper,the main research method is "Investigation of things and extension of knowledge",the materials in comprehensive painting are taken as the main research object,and the practice is the main foothold.In today’s society,various painting concepts,techniques and forms emerge in an endless stream,but comprehensive painting has also been greatly developed.The infinite possibilities of material fusion can make the picture more outstanding.Therefore,in recent years,comprehensive material painting has also been improved.The attention of many contemporary artists.Therefore,the research on materials in comprehensive painting still has practical significance.Through the analysis of some foreign and domestic artists,this paper finds that materials have strong inclusiveness and unexpected changes in composite material painting.Through the artist’s different understanding and application of materials,different images appear,forming different artistic styles and artistic languages.So today,mixed-material painting can still show different expressions.Through my personal practice and exploration of materials in comprehensive painting,I have a better understanding of the characteristics and aesthetics of materials in comprehensive painting,and found that materials have gradually got rid of the constraints of painting,have independent aesthetic value,and become the material carrier for artists to express their own ideas.I also have a more comprehensive understanding of comprehensive painting from the material of materials.The use of diverse materials in comprehensive painting brings new visual experience,and also brings strong vitality to comprehensive painting.In the future,the connotation and extension of comprehensive painting will be further expanded.
