Translation,introduction And Cultural Dissemination Of Chinese Network Literature In European And American Countries ——Taking The Immortal Mortal As An Example

The pace of Chinese online literature going to sea has been accelerating and the radiation scope has been further expanded.Europe and the American area has become the second largest overseas literature market after Southeast Asia,with a relatively complete translation platform and a stable audience.However,the translation and introduction of network literature in European and American countries are frequently frustrated,and the phenomenon of broken translation works emerges in an endless stream.The lack of high-quality and professional translators is the most direct reason for the obstruction of online literature to the sea.However,from the perspective of personnel training and career development planning of Chinese international education,students majoring in Chinese international education not only have high literary literacy,but also master relevant skills of cross-cultural communication.They have unique advantages in engaging in literary translation and cultural communication.Therefore,comprehensively analyzing the current situation of translation and cultural communication of Chinese network literature in European and American countries,learning experiences and lessons,and effectively combining the professional development of Chinese International Education with the overseas development of network literature can speed up the process of overseas translation and cultural communication of Chinese network literature.This thesis takes three major online novel translation websites in Europe and the American area as platforms,for example,Novel Updates,Wuxia World and Gravity Tales,on the basis of professor Xie Zhentian’s translation theory of "Creative Rebellion",conduct a research on the status quo and problems of translation and cultural communication of the network literature works "A Record of a Mortal’s Journey to Immortality" in European and American countries.Firstly,analyzing the definition,classification and development status of network literature at home and abroad;Secondly,carefully read the novel to taste it’s literary charm.Thirdly,based on the statistics and analysis of the data of translation websites,taking the real-time "network discourse text" of overseas audiences as the research sample,combined with the evaluation of the novel from the perspective of European and American media,this paper summarizes the current situation and problems of the translation and cultural communication of the novel in European and American countries.Fourthly,puts forward corresponding suggestions and countermeasures for the current situation and problems of Chinese network literature translation and cultural communication in European and American countries.Finally,this paper based on the situation of talent cultivation and employment of the major of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages（TCSOL） especially under the background of the epidemic,measures are proposed to combine the overseas development of TCSOL and Chinese online literature.Through the research,this thesis finds that first,the quality of translation is the key factor affecting the reading stickiness of overseas audiences.The quality and efficiency of translation can be effectively improved by changing the translation mode,using flexible translation strategies,and establishing and perfecting the cultivation and practice system of literary translators.Second,the major of TCSOL has unique advantages in literary translation.Therefore,it can effectively promote the overseas translation and cultural transmission of Chinese online literature by changing the notion of talent cultivation,broadening employment channels and cultivating professional translator teams at home and abroad.
