Research On Emotional Expression In Oil Paintings

A very important point in oil painting creation is emotion.It has not only become the engine of painting creation,but also become a way to vent the author’s inner spiritual world.Of course,creators living in different environments have different feelings,so the expression methods,contents,themes and forms are also various.Each art master has formed a unique style in his own art field by combining his own characteristics.Da Vinci is good at setting off the characters’ emotions with the help of composition,which makes his works full of creativity.Picasso used color as the emotional code to open up a way to the poor life of the people at the bottom for his works,while Van Gogh brought his love for life into the painting without stinginess,and slowly expressed his delicate feelings with his beating strokes.Finally,monk,the pioneer of modern expressionist painting,broke through the traditional dogma and expressed his thoughts on the philosophy of life with distorted and exaggerated images.Therefore,the range of emotional expression is very broad,ranging from the reasonable arrangement of composition to the interpretation of strokes,in order to create color works in line with the theme image.This paper will explain the importance of studying emotional expression from three aspects: the background,significance and current situation of the research,painting language and personal perception.First of all,in today’s society with developed material civilization,we increasingly need excellent works to nourish our spiritual world.The development of industrial technology makes people’s emotional consciousness gradually indifferent.The study of the research object in this paper will help to improve the level of artistic understanding.Moreover,painting language can be summarized into several parts,such as picture structure,tone,form and content.This paper will also give examples of works for in-depth analysis.Finally,I use the perspective of my emotion and personal perception in the composition of the picture.The collection of materials and the study of documents gave me a solid theoretical foundation in how to deal with pictures and express myself.I also learned how outstanding artists in history broke through self constraints and led the new trend of art from the cracks in the face of trendy ideas and old ideas.When studying literature and master works,I also have great inspiration for my personal artistic creation,such as how to balance painting skills and emotional expression,how to roughly summarize part of the picture content for the balance of the picture,and so on.It’s a long way to go.The research of artistic ideas has a long way to go.We also need to explore and discover slowly with a modest and cautious attitude,so as to create more works that bring unique feelings to the audience.
