Chinese traditional culture has a long history,ancient poetry is the treasure of Chinese traditional culture,unique Chinese characteristics.The creation of Chinese ancient poetry and art songs was born in the early 20 th century under the impetus of ideological trend.It is a vocal music genre combining Chinese ancient poetry and music.It is a work formed by traditional ancient poetry using western creation techniques and music style,which has both literary beauty and musical beauty.This paper selects the song Dynasty poet Xin Qiji writing lyrics,contemporary composer Li Yan music of ancient poetry art song "Green Jade Case · Yuan Xi" as the research object,from four aspects to study: The first part is the introduction,summarizes the reason of the topic,research status and research significance;The second part introduces the creation background of the work and the songwriter.This poem is created under the condition of the author’s political frustration,expressing his feelings and grief of being unable to serve his country.The third part analyzes the lyrics and music of the work from the lyrics,melody,musical structure and accompaniment texture and other aspects of the analysis;The fourth part analyzes the singing of this work,starting from aspects of breathing,resonance cavity,articulation,emotion and stage presentation,combined with the problems I found in the master’s graduation concert,aiming at the singing characteristics of ancient poetry and art songs.I hope that through studying and thinking about ancient poetry and art songs,I can have a better interpretation and expression in singing works,and provide certain reference value for vocal music learners.
