Research On The Characteristics Of Non-dialogue Animation Art Creation ——Taking The Excellent Works Of Oscar’s Best Animated Short Films As An Example

Dialogue-free animation is a form of animation,which can often be seen in the creation of animated short films.Due to the particularity of language,there are certain differences between non-dialogue animation and ordinary animation in information processing,visual performance,and music effect,forming a unique art form.This paper first traces the origin of non-dialogue animation,and sorts out the context of its development.At the same time,it sorts out the development process of the Oscar for Best Animated Short Film,determines the non-dialogue animations that won and nominations from 1974 to 2021 as the research object of this article,and sorts out all the non-dialogue animations that have won the Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film and nominations.Second,the research samples are classified and sorted from the perspectives of theme type,technology type,and story type.Finally,the artistic characteristics of non-dialogue animation are summarized from the three perspectives of story characteristics,visual characteristics and sound characteristics,and then analyzed.Artistic value;further explore the applicable principles of non-dialogue animation.The purpose of this paper is to systematically organize and collect the film and television materials of excellent non-dialogue animation,and to provide basic information with certain reference value for the theoretical and creative development of non-dialogue animation in my country.
