Emotion And Artistic Expression ——Research And Practice Of Watercolor Painting Creation

Watercolor painting from its birth to the present,has a history of more than two hundred years,watercolor painting has been introduced to China for more than a hundred years,and has been greatly developed after localization,the ontological language has been highly perfected,the expression techniques have reached an unprecedented height,new materials and new media are becoming more and more abundant,and the subject matter is becoming more and more diverse.However,from the perspective of art history,compared with other paintings,the development history of watercolor painting is not long,its development is still in a very young stage,and today’s watercolor can be said to be in a small climax.Watercolor painting because of its unique characteristics,resulting in its entry threshold has a certain height,the proportion of technique performance in the creation process is larger,so mastering the technique is a major learning goal for many people who learn watercolor,and mastering the technique can get a good picture effect,so at this point,the watercolor painting itself will easily make people fall into the fascination with the technique.Excessive pursuit of technique weakens ideological or emotional expression to some extent（but not in the case of vigorous research in order to advance and innovate technique）.In the context of broad art history,we can find that the great works of art that have first experienced the test of history and the recognition of the people,some of them are a collection of super high artistic expression skills and sincere emotions that move people,such as Robert Lang’s oil paintings and Michelangelo’s sculptures,and some great works such as Van Gogh’s oil paintings and Kollwitz’s sketches,their works do not belong to the pinnacle of perfection in technique,on the contrary,they are very simple and simple.They also contain very rich and sincere emotions,which still shine in this long river of history.Good works of art may contain superb skills or not superb skills,but the common denominator of works of art that can move people is that they must contain rich and sincere thoughts and emotions.In the past few years of studying art and creating art,I also have some of my own feelings and understandings.This article focuses on the development of watercolor art today.Watercolor painting is facing a more common and more essential problem,the effect and influence of various artistic expression means and expression methods of watercolor painting on watercolor painting,how to organically combine artistic expression and emotional expression in the process of artistic creation,and what position does thought and emotion occupy in the process of painting art creation.Combined with my own graduation creation process,I further argue the necessity of artistic expression in the process of creating watercolor paintings,as well as the importance of thought and emotion,and clarify what kind of relationship they should be for watercolor paintings.
