Since the end of the 1990 s,a cultural trend called the "healing system" has emerged in Japan,and it has gradually grown.Soon the healing system also penetrated into the film,and more and more healing films were created,gradually forming a recognizable genre model,bringing a new look to Japanese films since the Heisei era.In this trend,director Yaguchi Shinobu can be called the creative representative of this film genre.Yaguchi Shinobu is a well-known Japanese commercial comedy director who has been making 10 feature films and has been created throughout the 30 years of Heisei.Starting with his "Secret Garden"(1997),films such as "Water boys"(2001),"Swinging Girl"(2004),"Wood Job"(2014),"Survival Family"(2016)and other films have received good box office and word-of-mouth,and his works are often labeled as "healing department".This paper takes Yaguchi Shinobu’s existing 10 feature films as research objects,and excavates the healing nature of Yaguchi Shinobu’s films in terms of theme and aesthetics.This article is divided into three chapters.The first chapter starts from both broad and narrow senses,discusses the correlation between film and healing,analyzes the connotation of "healing" in Japanese healing films,and combs through The film creation process of Yaguchi Shinobu and the healing characteristics in its films in this context.The second chapter explores the themes of Yaguchi’s films,and discusses the dilemma of modernity that is repeatedly presented in Yaguchi’s films from three aspects: youth,family,and daily life.The third chapter analyzes the healing aesthetics of Yaguchi Shinobu’s films,and examines how they achieve healing effects from three levels: emotion(narrative structure),environment(spatial construction),and laughter(comedic expression).Therefore,this article will start from the definition and characteristics of healing films,combine Yaguchi Shinobu’s films,analyze the connotation and form of healing in his film creation,and explore the typical and unique healing in his films,in order to understand the typicality and experience of Yaguchi Shinobu’s healing films,and provide a certain reference for the practice and analysis of Chinese healing films. |
