A Study On Diversity And Sustainability Of Biological Media In Bio Art

With the continuous development of technology and people’s growing material and cultural needs,the combination of art and technology has become inevitable.At the same time,in the context of contemporary art,the sustainable development of all aspects is a hot topic that must be given high priority not only in the art world but also in all industries at present and in the coming decades.The boundaries of contemporary art are very broad and blurred,and the forms and contents are so varied that it can be said that contemporary art is an all-encompassing art that needs to meet the current artistic needs of mankind without hindering the development of future generations in all aspects.And in the general context of contemporary art,how to make art more promote the sustainable development of the earth,or how to make the development of art and the sustainable development of the earth complement each other,it is more necessary for artists to think and observe with a diversified perspective,to integrate and apply art and technology,naturally,to society,in order to facilitate human exploration of life forms and the relationship between man and the universe,and also to provide art with fresh vitality and a more wide space,thus promoting the common progress of art and science and technology.Taking the development of biological media in contemporary art as the general background and the medium carrier of works as the entry point,this paper presents a typical case study and summarizes the diversity shown by artists from different eras and regions in the creation of biological art. Whether using living or non-living carriers as the medium of creation,the artists mostly take life as the central theme,with issues such as the relationship between human and nature,life,the origin of life,and death as the subject matter,and use different media to give different expressions and characteristics to their artworks.This paper also categorizes and summarizes the influence of the diversity of biological media combined with the elements of global sustainability on my current and future creations,the inspiration and extension of the creative concept and materials used,followed by a detailed description of my personal creative practice and creative methods from both sustainability and aesthetics,and an outlook on the development of biological media afterwards.
