| The Strange Tales of Liaozhai is Pu Songling’s painstaking work,which can be called the great integrator of classical Chinese short stories in ancient China.The Strange Tales of Liaozhai states the stories with twists and turns and strange plots with its unique writing style.The translation and introduction of Strange Tales of Liaozhai in Manchu and Mongolian is an important part of its communication research.Through the author’s omni-directional search and interview,I know that there is a version of the Manchu translation of Strange Tales of Liaozhai,that is,the complete Chinese version translated by Zach Dan.The Mongolian version of Strange Tales of Liaozhai has five versions with different format and content at home and abroad.The Manchu versions of Strange Tales of Liaozhai complement each other and form a more mature Manchu translation system.This paper mainly focuses on the collection of Manchu and Mongolian translations of Strange Tales of Liaozhai at home and abroad,and makes a systematic textual research on the relationship between Manchu and Mongolian translations and the relationship between different Mongolian translations.The thesis consists of three parts: the introduction,the text(Chapter1-3)and the conclusion.The introduction mainly explains the reasons for choosing the topic,research significance and research methods,and then expounds the current research situation in detail,and combs the Chinese version of Liaozhai Zhi Yi in detail.In the first chapter,based on the detailed description of the existing Manchu translation of Strange Tales of Liaozhai,and through textual research,it is determined that the original version of Liaozhai Zhi Yi is Qingketing engraved version of Liaozhai Zhi Yi.Finally,on the basis of defining the original text,the paper comments on its translation characteristics and translation strategies.Based on the detailed introduction of the five Mongolian versions of Liaozhai Zhi Yi,the second chapter makes an in-depth analysis and study of the origin relationship between the five Mongolian versions and the translation characteristics of different Mongolian versions.The results show that the five Mongolian versions of Liaozhai Zhi Yi belong to four different Mongolian versions,and there are obvious differences in translation styles among different versions.On the basis of the detailed introduction of the Mongolian version of Strange Tales of Liaozhai and the textual research on the source of the original version,the third chapter makes a comparative study with the Mongolian translation of the complacent translation of Strange Tales of Liaozhai.The results show that the Mongolian translation of Strange Tales of Liaozhai is based on the lithographic album of Shanghai Tongwen Book Company in the 12th year of Guang Xu of the Qing Dynasty(1886).There are obvious differences between the Mongolian translation of the complacent translation of Strange Tales of Liaozhai and the Mongolian translation of Strange Tales of Liaozhai in terms of volumes and contents.Both of them have the phenomena of missing text,omitting translation,mistranslation and rewriting the original text in varying degrees.The conclusion part,mainly summarizes the views of the full text. |
