| Meidaizhao,as the first Tibetan Buddhist Monastery established in Inner Mongolia,which integrates the multi-culture of Mongolian,Tibetan and Han in one monastery,has an important research significance.Using the method of image comparison,the author studies the Buddha biography of meidaizhao from image evolution and inheritance relationship by specifically analyzing the visual expression and symbolic significance of the meidaizhao mural of "Buddha biography" in monastery of Tibetan Buddhism and the Yellow Sect.Tracing the image origin of the "Buddha biography",it explains the artistic influence of the Gelugpa(Yellow Sect)of Tibetan Buddhism enters into Mongolia through the localization phenomena of the "Buddha biography" of meidaizhao murals in the paper.It also adds a new perspective and content to the image research on Tibetan Buddhism in Inner Mongolia.It carries on the arrangement and comparative study on “Buddha’s biography” in the great hall of the mural meidaizhao and other versions of Buddha biography in different periods in the paper,which provides an important supplement to the study of religious art and social art in Inner Mongolia,and also has great practical significance for the study of Tibetan Buddhist art in Mongolia.This paper is mainly divided into three chapters.The first chapter includes brief description of the origin,development and influence of Buddha biography,as well as the basic content of "Buddha biography" of meidaizhao mural.The second chapter includes the comparative analysis of some images of "Buddha’s biography" of meidaizhao murals and other versions of "Buddha’s biography".Some images of "Buddha’s biography" of meidaizhao murals are selected,which includes "Birth of Sakyamuni","Picture of Riding Elephant into Embryo","Double Forest Nirvana Scene",etc.Taking time as the axis,compared with the early relief,mural of "Buddha biography","Buddha’s biography" of Tibetan Buddhism and "Buddha’s biography" Han Buddhism with the same period,it analyzes the drawing style,color application,customs features,etc.of each version of "Buddha biography",as well as the factors of different images,costumes and environmental localization of "Buddha biography" under different cultural backgrounds of various ethnic groups and regions in the paper.The third chapter includes the artistic characteristics and artistic influence of the "Buddha biography" of meidaizhao murals.It explores the characteristics of the "Buddha biography" of meidaizhao murals respectively,which includes the character image,composition form,and color application,and comprehensively analyzes the cultural integration and influence of Tibetan and Chinese culture on meidaizhao murals,as well as the role and significance of meidaizhao murals on the development of Yellow Sect in Mongolia. |
