| Posner(1980)divided spatial attention into endogenous spatial attention and exogenous spatial attention.Among them, endogenous spatial attention usually uses directional cues to provide spatial location information for the upcoming target, which is controlled by subjective intention.Exogenous spatial attention is usually caused by short and obvious clues, which will automatically attract the attention of the subjects.Multisensory Integration(MSI)is the Integration of stimulatory information from different channels into a unified, coherent and meaningful sensory and perceptual stimulus.Based on the endogenous-exogenous spatial cue target paradigm, manipulation of the endogenous cue validity(valid cue, invalid cue),exogenous cue validity(valid cue, invalid cue),type of target stimulus(visual, auditory, audiovisual stimuli)three independent variables, through three different experiments to examine Effects of endogenous spatial attention and exogenous spatial attention on multisensory integration.First, all three experiments found that exogenous spatial attention significantly reduced the multisensory integration effect.Secondly,in Experiment 1,the predictability of simple tasks and endogenous cues to the target was 80%,and it was found that endogenous spatial attention did not significantly enhance the multisensory integration effect;the effects of endogenous spatial attention and exogenous spatial attention on multisensory integration were marginal significant. In Experiment 2,the predictability of complex tasks and endogenous cues for the target is 80%,and it is found that endogenous spatial attention participates in the multisensory integration effect;the interaction of endogenous and exogenous spatial attention on multisensory integration is significant, that is,exogenous spatial attention will affect the process by which endogenous spatial attention enhances the multisensory integration effect. In addition, endogenous spatial attention will affect the process of exogenous spatial attention weakening the multisensory integration effect. In Experiment 3,the predictability of complex tasks and endogenous cues to the target was50%,and it was found that endogenous spatial attention did not significantly enhance the multisensory integration effect;the interaction of endogenous and exogenous spatial attention on multisensory integration was not significant. The results show that the influence of exogenous spatial attention on multisensory integration is not easily controlled by task difficulty and the predictability of endogenous cues;only in complex tasks and endogenous cues are 80% predictive of the target, endogenous cues change will affect the degree to which exogenous spatial attention weakens the multisensory integration, and the change of exogenous cues will also affect the degree of endogenous spatial attention enhancing the multisensory integration, indicating the effect of endogenous and exogenous spatial attention on the multisensory integration effect. The influence is not independent, but mutual influence. |
