A Brief Analysis Of The Painting Art Of Vienna Secession ——Take Artistic Language Of Klimt’s Decorative Painting As An Example

Nowadays,with the development of technology and the liberation of minds,the art that people explore ranges from early primitive art to Western classical plastic art and contemporary art where a hundred schools of thought contend.Although Vienna Secession is short-lived in the long-standing arts,it opened the door to modern art.Gustav Klimt,one of the founders of the Vienna Secession,is the most representative figure in the Vienna Secession.His works are mostly based on female images,and he decomposes all the female bodies into decorative lines.Strong decorative skills and mysterious female images arouse profound psychological resonance and express or symbolize the relationship or fate between happiness and despair in human life.Klimt began to paint landscapes after he reached middle age.Therefore,most of his landscapes were created in the decade before his death.Under his paintbrush,landscapes seem to be the fleeting glances in life,which are mostly spontaneous.Just as the Impressionists advocated,"They are fleeting scenes".As the leader of the Viennese Secession,Klimt fused a variety of traditional and modern artistic styles,but also blended the different arts to create a unique artistic style.In the first part of the article,the historical evolution,artistic ideals and representative figure Klimt of the Vienna Secession are analyzed.In the second part,the artistic language of Klimt’s symbolic and decorative painting is analyzed,and the artistic characteristics of Klimt’s decorative painting are studied in depth from the perspectives of geometric lines,decorative colors,Chinese painting elements,synthesized materials and emotional pursuit of the picture.Finally,by studying the artistic characteristics of Klimt’s paintings,the influence of the characteristics of Klimt’s decorative painting style on my creation is discussed and analyzed,and the application of decorative feature in painting is explored by combining the practice of graduation creation in garden theme series.
