This study concerns a subculture which is named language cosplay.Language cosplay originally uses language to express the character’s tone,behavior,psychology and so on.The community of Language cosplay subculture usually play two-dimensional characters.at present,there is a tendency to play three-dimensional characters.With the development of network technology,the community of Language cosplay subculture quickly gathered in Baidu Post Bar,QQ and other platforms.This paper focuses on the online community of language cosplay subculture.This research was informed by subcultural theory,as well as by qualitative methods.Through in-depth interviews with the members who join the community of language cosplay subculture and observation on various network platforms,this study will analyze the community interaction activities,community management strategy,communicative mentality,to understand the contact order of language cosplay community.Language cosplay community has rich online and offline activities.Language cosplay community gathers emotional energy through daily communication,practice role-playing skills and cross-dimensional communication These activities can increase community member’s emotional connection and mutual trust,stimulate the potential of community sharing,mutual benefit and collaboration.The order of community is the guarantee of continuous and efficient communication activities.In the process of communication,community maintains widely recognized rules and distinct power hierarchy,which enables community to establish consensus as soon as possible.It can enhance group unity,and complete the separation between group members and the others.The communicative mentality is to regard language cosplay subculture as their heterotopia.They hope to maintain a limited influence and develop a fluid group.They want language cosplay subculture to be a niche and undisturbed.They want to have a home,get group identity,but also want the individual to be free and maneuver.The practical experience,emotional value and organizational presupposition generated through the communication order will have an impact on the public participation of group members.Through large-scale and orderly communication in cyberspace,personalized entertainment and leisure behaviors will affect the public communication practice of group members.We need to pay attention to the sociological significance of leisure.For example,in the network collective actions such as “D8Expedition” and “Chinese girl fans beat back H.K decadent youth”,those participants makes full use of its organizational mode on line and digital logic of social networking,which makes its actions show strong mobilization ability and strict discipline mode.The community essentially forms an alternative online public sphere by participating in communication and interaction.The group built a safe and comfortable community through previous communication activities.As a subcultural community,it actively resists commercial and political intrusion,allowing its members to express themselves more independently and freely.It was observed that a favorable climate of public opinion had developed in the community.Secondly,the spirit acquired in the community interaction has an impact on the expression of their opinions and collective actions.The group develops a passion for participation,which will evolve into a sense of responsibility for public affairs.The group believes that "I participate,I change",which will greatly encourage them to participate in public affairs.The group’s deconstruction spirit and awareness of protecting their own people will also affect their attitudes and choices when facing social issues.For example,they chose to express their views in playful language,and to focus on the COVID-19 outbreak in the way that support the excavators which participate in the construction of infectious disease hospital.At the same time,the organizational presupposition community completed can lay the foundation for collective action,and all kinds of activities in community can be regarded as a rehearsal of collective action.The group not only keeps communicating online,but also has a wealth of offline contact and real-life dating experience.The existing organization is able to effectively assemble and take collective action on highly resonant issues.When the number of participants is large enough that the relevant issues can trigger large-scale public opinion feedback,the public participation ability and influence of online communities are huge. |
