| With the changes of the international situation and the the rapid development of domestic social economy, the test of public security work in China is becoming more and more severe. The grass-roots police undertake a lot of basic policing work.At the same time, they are faced with some problems, such as poor law enforcement environment, insufficient protection of law enforcement,long-term tension of police force, lack of public opinion support, lack of self-stress management ability, and so on.The professional pressure of the grass-roots police is increasing day by day.As a result,so many grass-roots police have a variety of psychological, physical and behavioral problems, which affect the effective performance of public security work. This thesis integrates the multi-disciplinary theoretical knowledge of psychology, management, human resource management and so on,researching the pressure management of grass-roots police, also defining the stress management, the pressure of the police at the grass-roots level, the coping style of the police pressure and the job burnout of the police.Through the empirical investigation of the grass-roots police in Q City,Guangxi,we have conclusions by making an in-depth research and discussion on the police professional pressure, coping style, job burnout and the interaction among the grass-roots police.(1)The professional pressure of the grass-roots police mainly comes from the pressure of the work itself, the basic pressure of work is followed, and the pressure of organization and management is the lowest.(2)Among the seven pressure factors, the order of stress is job security > physical and mental health > workload > work treatment > social support >leadership quality > leadership style. It shows that the grass-roots police feel strongly about job security, physical and mental health, workload and work treatment.(3)There are significant differences in the occupational pressure of grass-roots police of the demographic factors in terms of age, length of police service, educational level and marital status.(4)The mainly pressure coping style of grass-roots police is positive response.(5)There is asignificant positive correlation between negative coping and all factors of police occupational pressure.(6)Most grass-roots police show moderate job burnout, and the burnout in emotional exhaustion is the most prominent among the three dimensions: emotional exhaustion, depersonalization and reduced sense of personal achievement.(7)There is a significant positive relationship between the pressure of leadership style and the depersonalization dimension of job burnout.(8)Positive coping has a significant negative effect on the reduced dimension of personal achievement, while negative coping has a significant positive effect on emotional exhaustion and depersonalization.(9)The theoretical model of negative coping as an intermediary variable is established, and negative coping plays an intermediary role in the pressure factor of leadership style and the dimension of job burnout of depersonalization. This shows that we should pay attention to the effect of leadership style pressure on depersonalization through negative coping styles,as well as the direct positive effect of leadership style pressure on depersonalization. Finally, combined with the results of empirical analysis and the reality of public security work,we put forward the pressure management countermeasures for grass-roots police from six aspects: improving the comprehensive ability of the police, improving the law enforcement environment, ensuring the conditions of law enforcement, establishing professional advantages, improving the quality of grass-roots leaders and dealing with job burnout.Through these measures, this thesis aims to help the grass-roots police reduce the negative impact of occupational pressure, regulate the excessive occupational pressure and job burnout, maintain the physical and mental health, promote the ordered progress of all kinds of public security work, and ensure the rapid development of public security and the long-term stability of the country and society. |
