Effects Of Balochistan Separatism On China–Pakistan Economic Corridor

The issue of Balochistan separatism is an important one affecting Pakistan’s national security.The increasing frequency of terrorist attacks in recent years has intensified the confrontation between Balochistan separatism and the Federal Government of Pakistan,and the growing differences between the Federal Government and Balochistan political groups and tribal forces,as well as the violence,separatist activities and terrorist attacks perpetrated by Balochistan separatists.This makes the construction and operation of the economic corridor of China and Pakistan deeply damaged and challenged by Baluchistan separatism,which considers the corridor to be economic plunder for Baluchis,coupled with the need to destroy its own independent claims and the interference of foreign powers,chose to attack corridor-related personnel and facilities to delay the corridor process.As a result,Baluchistan separatist activities have become the China-Pakistan economic corridor in the project location,construction,operation and maintenance needs to be carefully considered and the object of prevention.The impact of Balochistan separatism on the China-Pakistan economic corridor,at the same time,the construction and development of the China-Pakistan economic corridor should face the threat of destruction of Balochistan separatism,is at this stage in the corridor spread out during the construction period needs to be clear and resolved.By combing Baluchistan separatism to form its activity mode,this paper makes clear that its influence on the economic corridor of China and Pakistan includes four aspects: impacting the safe operation of the corridor,restricting the economic and trade development of the corridor,interfering with the policy stability of the corridor and exacerbating the geographical game of the corridor.The reason for this is that Balochistan separatism is restricted by its own independence claims,its inaccurate perception of the corridor,its natural resistance to the policies of the Federal Government and its interference by international forces have led to a series of destructive activities.In order to avoid the adverse effects of Baluchistan separatism on the corridor,some suggestions are put forward to deal with it at four levels: safe operation,economic and trade development,policy support and international cooperation.
