Investigation And Analysis Of College Students’ Consciousness Of Ecological Civilization

In recent years,environmental pollution has severely limited the sustainable development of human society.Our country has gradually realized the significance of the ecological civilization construction to economic development.However,up to now,Chinese ecological civilization construction is facing a huge challenge that is weak ecological civilization awareness.As college students are the main force of Chinese economic development and ecological civilization construction in the future,it is imperative to improve their ecological civilization consciousness.According to the connotation of ecological civilization consciousness and KAP evaluation model,this dissertation considers that the formation of ecological civilization consciousness for college students is subjected to the following three steps,which are knowledge acquiring,attitude changing,and behavior practicing.Thus,questionnaire survey is conducted among Wuhan university students,focusing on inquiring the awareness of ecological policy and environmental issues,attitude and practice on the ecological civilization.Firstly,based on the data collected from survey,calculate the scores of Wuhan university students on the knowledge,attitude,and practice of ecological civilization consciousness by using entropy weight method,and analyze the correlations among knowledge,attitude and practice.Then,analyze the impact of ecological civilization education based on the extended EKAP model and figure out the formation of ecological civilization consciousness.Finally,explore the significant factors which affect the awareness of ecological civilization consciousness through the binary classification logistic regression model.The research results show the scores of ecological policy awareness,environmental issues awareness,attitude,practice,and total points are 52.32,67.12,74.36,58.74,and 62.02,indicating that Wuhan university students hold a good attitude on ecological civilization,but preform badly in practice.Correlation analysis shows that positive correlation between knowledge and practice is significant,which means improving ecological civilization knowledge can effectively alleviate the status of "cognitive imbalance".The results of the EKAP structural equation model show that the total effects of ecological civilization education on awareness of environmental issues,awareness of ecological policy,attitude,and practice are respectively 0.739,0.649,0.739,and 0.758.And the awareness of environmental issues and ecological policy are both directly influenced by the education.The practice is affected by the education of ecological civilization through the knowledge indirectly,and the education can impact the attitude directly and indirectly.In addition,College students’ ecological civilization awareness will also be significantly affected by gender,major,grade,political identity,and origin.According to the above conclusions,the dissertation puts forward suggestions for improving college students’ awareness of ecological civilization.
