Engels’ Theory Of Historical Resultant Force And Its Contemporary Enlightenment

Since the 1870 s,the development of capitalism has begun to go up the slope.On this occasion,the ruling position of historical materialism in the field of proletarian thought has been challenged unprecedentedly,which is not only related to the new changes and new development of capitalism.And with historical materialism itself shortcomings.Engels examined the situation,immediately devoted himself to theoretical research,,and finally put forward the famous "theory of historical resultant force" thought.This idea not only forcefully fought back at the bourgeois thinkers attacking historical materialism,but also developed Marxism in the perspective of social and historical history.Because this thought affirms the role of economic factors,superstructure elements and historical subjects in the historical process,and highlights the biggest "joint force" generated by their interaction to promote the continuous development of history.From the content elaborated in the "historical synergy theory",it can be seen that this thought is a dialectical "historical determinism" in essence,and in addition,it is also revolutionary and practical,systematic and hierarchical.This idea is of great significance,Among them,in terms of theoretical value,it defends and develops Marxist historical materialism,points out scientific methods for studying Marxism,and provides basic methods for analyzing and evaluating historical figures.In terms of practical value,it provides guidance for the development of our socialist cause.In addition to the introduction,this paper includes three parts:The first part analyzes the formation of Engels’ theory of historical resultant force.Mainly includes the formation background,the theory source and the development vein three aspects.As far as the background of formation is concerned,this thought is put forward under the background of malicious attack and distortion caused by the objective conditions of the subject of historical materialism;as far as the theoretical source is concerned,this thought mainly inherits the social and historical views of Elvish,Hegel and Saint Simon;as far as the formation context is concerned,this thought has experienced three stages: germination,formation and perfection.The second part summarizes the connotation of Engels’ theory of historical resultant force.The motive force of social and historical development is summarized into three aspects: the unity of economic factors and superstructure,the unity of individual will and group resultant force,the unity of objective law and human activity.The third part analyzes Engels’ theory of historical resultant force.First,it excavates its characteristics from the connotation of the thought of "historical resultant force theory" second,it analyzes its theoretical value from the relationship between the thought of "historical resultant force" and historical materialism and the methodological guidance for us to comment on historical figures and carry out theoretical research;Third,based on the new era,China’s development of new historical position,analysis of its practical value to promote the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics.
