A Study On Strengthening The Protection Of China’s Overseas Interests

Since the reform and opening up,China has been participating in international affairs in a wider and deeper way.The scope of national interests has also expanded.Overseas interests have become an important part of national interests.Under the background of China’s continuous improvement of comprehensive national strength and the continuous expansion of overseas interests,traditional means of protecting overseas interests are difficult to meet the current needs of our country.China’s overseas interest protection still faces the problems of lacking reliable information sources,prevention and warning system,lack of overseas security fulcrum and hard intervention ability,and lack of perfect risk sharing system of overseas investment.One belt,one road initiative is being implemented and China is strengthening its contacts with Central Asia,the Middle East,Southeast Asia,Africa and Europe.In these areas,a large number of countries have relatively weak governance capacity,and some countries still have the threat of terrorism,which inevitably become the uncertainty risk of China’s overseas interests.The faster the scale of overseas interests expands,the greater the risk intensity of overseas interest protection is,and the stronger the demand for the protection of interests is.However,the traditional Chinese means of protecting overseas interests cannot meet the current actual needs.With the increase of overseas interest protection demand,the increase of risk intensity of overseas interests and the increase of complexity of overseas interests,the existing overseas interest protection methods in China need further adjustment.Some traditional diplomatic ideas and principles need to be improved and developed with the times.The difficulty of transformation in the contradiction between traditional national image and real national interests will indirectly lead to the lack of compulsory ability to protect overseas interests.During the epidemic,China has been improving its international status and has made remarkable progress in vaccine development.It has started to introduce public products worldwide,taking this as an opportunity to communicate with other countries more deeply and more prominent the importance of international exchanges.With the new development of our foreign policy,the image of "responsible" power and the importance of international discourse require us not to ignore the international influence of the country.The change of this concept is a great opportunity for China to change the concept and mode of protecting overseas interests,and promote China to actively develop domestic law and actively shape international rules,and to cooperate by seeking diplomatic means The legal way flexibly uses the means of compulsory diplomacy,financial sanctions and police diplomacy,and strengthens the mandatory protection of overseas interests by enhancing the capability of strategic delivery at sea,strengthening the security force,and creating private security companies in line with the international standards.The construction of socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered a new era.The protection of national overseas interests is the inevitable requirement of socialist construction.When the traditional means cannot meet the needs,it is necessary to develop new means and measures for the protection of overseas interests.
