Research On The Impact Of Women Empowerment On Family Agricultural Income In Poverty-Stricken Areas

In China’s social transformation and the rural economic system reform under the background of times,a lot of rural surplus labor into cities,the rural industrial structure transformation,the original social structure is broken,the rural women’s participation in the social economy is more and more high,"feminization of agriculture",women become an important force in agriculture and rural economic development.However,the gender consciousness formed under the long-term influence of traditional culture still restricts women.Rural women not only bear the family care labor,which is regarded as their own responsibility,but also bear the family production activities.Rural women’s rights and interests are only superficial,and the value and role of women in agriculture are underestimated.Based on China’s poverty alleviation areas,the research reviews and combs the theories and research related to women’s empowerment and agricultural income,and analyzes the current status and influencing factors of women’s empowerment and agricultural income in my country from a macro perspective.Integrating and analyzing the survey data,using multiple regression models and PSM models to analyze the impact of women’s empowerment in poverty-stricken areas on family agricultural income,and through tests to ensure that the empirical results are reliable.The results show that in poverty alleviated rural areas,women’s empowerment has a significant positive effect on raising family agricultural income,while unempowered women have a negative effect on agricultural income.The impact of women’s empowerment level in poverty alleviated areas on farm households’ agricultural income is mainly concentrated on farming income.Women’s empowerment scores have a significant positive correlation with farming income,while the impact on farming income is weak.In addition,women’s lack of power in the three major areas of agricultural production,productive resources,and social relations is as high as 60%,which is the main aspect of the damage to women’s rights and interests.Lack of decision-making power in agricultural production and control of productive resources are the main factors leading to the low level of empowerment of rural women.There are significant differences in the level of women’s empowerment in different regions.Due to the restriction of natural endowments,the poverty levels in different regions are also different,and the traditional concepts have different degrees of influence in each poverty-stricken area,resulting in different conditions for restricting the level of women’s empowerment.Therefore,the levels of women’s empowerment in different regions are different.,And thus the impact on the family’s agricultural income is also different.
