Research On The Formation Of Group Moral Indifference And Its Educational Transformation

With the advent of market economy and reform and opening up,great changes have taken place in people’s ideas.The e great changes of an era will inevitably promote the internal transmutation of people’s ideological and moral character,and at the same time bring the problems of The Times to the ideological and political education.The phenomenon of moral indifference frequently appears in the society impinges on people’s ideological and moral concepts,challenges the ideological and political education in schools,and becomes an unavoidable obstacle on the road of the construction of socialist moral civilization with Chinese characteristics.Moral apathy is part of human nature.In behavior,it shows the numbness of the moral subject when facing the moral "urgent need",which is the manifestation of the alienation of moral cognition,moral emotion and moral relations.Human’s ideological and moral character is the transcendence of the prescriptive character in practice,which is based on four factors:individual physiological basis,psychological activity,objective environment and social relations.People recognize moral phenomenon and cultivate moral character in practical activities.Moral consciousness is the cognitive basis of moral behavior,through the dialectical movement of ideas gradually form a system of ideological and moral ideas,and externalize into the reality of moral behavior,in the internal and external interaction and moral reflection of the gradual construction of moral personality,moral self-realization.Such conscious self-reflection and self-construction often follow certain standards or patterns.Through the analysis of different schools of moral philosophy,we believe that moral indifference is fundamentally opposite to our social standard of moral value,and its essence is a kind of "evil" moral emotion.The evolution process of moral apathy includes the generation of individual apathy and group apathy,which gradually spreads from individual ideological and moral concept to group.The individual evolution of moral indifference includes four stages: the confusion of moral cognition,the distortion of moral emotion,the weakening of moral will and the lack of moral faith.When individuals become "indifferent",they will experience four links:identification,contagion,the emergence of opinion leaders and polarization,and then turn into collective moral indifference.The categories and characteristics of moral indifference include thoughtlessness,depersonalization,drowning in instinct and deindividuation.The causes of moral apathy are varied.Based on the analysis of moral rationality,the causes of moral indifference lie in the imbalance of purpose and means in value judgment,the lack of belief in the unity of individual virtue and good,and the conflict between individual goodness and public goodness.Based on the analysis of moral psychology,moral indifference has the shadow of five common psychological traps: learned helplessness,birdcage frame,responsibility dispersion,broken window effect and spiral effect of silence.Based on the analysis of moral communication,the causes of moral indifference include the wrong understanding of the traditional philosophy of moral practice,the moral alienation caused by the stranger society,the role dilution caused by the network society and the moral consensus dissolution caused by the pluralistic values.The resolution of moral indifference should be made by ideological and political education,society and individual.Including the family ideological and moral education to the quality of individual care and school ideological and political education of moral consciousness training two points.The social moral subjects should strengthen the subjective consciousness,perfect the moral reward and punishment mechanism and perfect the ideological and moral evaluation mechanism.Ideological and moral subjects should make efforts from three aspects: firm ideals and beliefs,cultivating the feelings of home and country,and strengthening moral responsibility.
