| Corruption is an unethical behavior of normal public officials and also a phenomenon in the process of economic and social development.Corruption runs through the development of the entire human society.Corruption is a worldwide problem facing all nations, including developed and developing countries. In a country(and region),the more stable the politics, the more conducive to the control of corruption, but the influence of political stability on the effect of corruption control does not happen directly. The study analyzes the data of the world governance index(WGI)from 1996 to 2019 with methods of variance analysis and serial multiple mediation analysis, and proves that the impact of political stability on the effect of corruption control is generated through four mediating factors:regulatory quality, sense of responsibility, government effectiveness and the rule of law.Meanwhile, the four mediating variables are closely related to each other and form serial mediation effects. Therefore,in order to achieve better corruption control effect in the context of political stability,it is necessary to improve the quality of government regulatory, enhance the sense of responsibility of social members, improve government effectiveness and strengthen the construction of the rule of law. |
