Personal biometric information is produced by special techniques to recognize specific identity of personal information,including fingerprints,face,voice print,iris,palmprint,vein,gait,etc,it reflects the unique body of natural person,the physiological or behavioral characteristics,therefore has uniqueness,identify,do not change and correlation characteristics.In the information age,the security of personal biometric information of Chinese citizens is facing severe challenges.The authentication and payment of "face brushing" and "fingerprint" in daily life not only brings convenience to citizens,but also brings security risks such as privacy and property,so the protection of personal biometric information is extremely urgent.Personal biometric information is a kind of sensitive personal information with personality attributes.At the same time,with the development of economic society,biological information has become an important resource,carrying property value.The implementation of the Personal Information Protection Law has set off the curtain of the legal protection of personal biometric information in China,but there are generally some problems such as narrow scope of personal biometric information protection,unclear rights of the information subject,unclear norms of behavior of the information controller,and insufficient relief mechanism.In order to promote the development of the application of biometric information and protect the security of personal biometric information,we should scientifically define the legal attributes of personal biometric information,clarify the rights of information subjects,standardize the obligations of information controllers,and improve the relief mechanism of biometric information.
