| Due to the continuous progress of Internet technology,the global demand for online games continues to grow,which promotes the rapid expansion of relevant enterprises.By the end of 2018,there were 188 game companies listed on various exchanges in China.With the listing of online game companies,they have more strict requirements on the accuracy of financial statements,and because teenagers are too addicted to the Internet,the state has more strict regulations on the listing of online game companies,and the supervision of online game companies is also improved step by step.The business of online game enterprises is different from that of conventional commodity sales,mainly virtual business transactions.This study focuses on the problem of revenue recognition and audit risk in revenue recognition,which mainly involves the time of revenue recognition such as virtual commodity and virtual currency,as well as the accounting treatment of business activities such as promotion of such commodities and free gift 。Based on the characteristics of online game companies,this paper selects company B for case analysis and analyzes the audit risks of online game company’s revenue recognition.It can be seen that the revenue recognition of virtual goods and virtual currency products has a large operating space,and there may be problems of early recognition or delayed recognition.In addition,the complexity of promotion mode also limits the accuracy of revenue recognition,On the other hand,the scale of virtual goods in online game enterprises is too large and scattered,and the accuracy of virtual goods in fair value is difficult to define.These characteristics lay a foundation for related party transactions,which may jointly lead to audit risk.Finally,this paper puts forward some countermeasures on the audit risks of online game companies,especially training professional audit practitioners in the field of online game,optimizing the audit mode of domestic online game enterprises’ income,etc. |
