Research On The Development Of Saudi Arabian Women’s Higher Education

As the largest Arab country in the Middle East,Saudi Arabia has abundant oil and natural gas resources.The development of the "oil economy" has promoted Saudi Arabia’s development of political,economic,social,and education,especially the development of women’s higher education.Although Saudi women’s higher education started very late,with the joint efforts of the Saudi government and society,after decades of steady development,women’s higher education has begun to take shape and has formed a set of standardized education systems.This subject is mainly to use literature research method,historical research method and other research methods to conduct a systematic study of Saudi women’s higher education.From the development history of Saudi women’s higher education,it can be seen that since the founding of the country,due to the Saudi government’s emphasis on women’s higher education and increased investment in education,the Saudi higher education system has gradually improved,and women’s higher education has made a leap-forward development.It shows the characteristics of economic stimulating education,strict religious education and the common development of public and private universities.Although Saudi women’s education has achieved a series of achievements,there are also many problems that restrict the further development of Saudi women’s higher education,such as centralized centralization,decentralized leadership,mixed education systems,various educational development imbalances,low educational inefficiencies,and excessive dependence on foreign teachers,gender discrimination,these questions still exist seriously.The development of women’s education in Saudi Arabia shows that it is difficult for women to realize their educational ideals in a society of conservative beliefs and restrictions on women’s education.At the present stage,with the globalization of the economy and the development of the times,Saudi women have an urgent need for the rapid development of women’s higher education,which will inevitably promote the development of Saudi women’s higher education.The Saudi government must provide more educational opportunities for women.It also calls for modern Saudi society to be more equal,fair and harmonious,and create a reasonable development space for women.
