Research On Higher Education Internationalization In Yunnan Province

Under the globalization trend,the internationalization of higher education has become an inevitable trend.Recently years,Yunnan Province is increasingly demanding higher education internationalization under various policy opportunities and its own advantages.Based on the status quo of the development of higher education internationalization in Yunnan Province,discussing current development difficulties and ways out is conducive to further exploring the development path of higher education internationalization in Yunnan Province.First,the thesis attempts to present the current situation of higher education internationalization in Yunnan Province at multiple levels.The thesis adopts three main dimensions: policy and planning,personnel internationalization and project internationalization,and from the level of provincial internationalization overview,from the level of university internationalization overview,and from the level of internationalization examples of various professional departments.Try to describe the development status more comprehensively.Second,combine data and qualitative interviews with university managers to explore realistic issues: there is a large gap in regional development,administrative norms need to be improved,the quality assurance system is not mature,the endogenous motivation of universities is insufficient,and the quality of development needs to be improved.From a macro perspective,Further thinking about the conflicts in the development of higher education internationalization in Yunnan Province,not only includes the characteristics of the higher education internationalization in Yunnan Province,that is,the development potential cannot be fully utilized due to the actual foundation,but also includes the common conflicts in the development of internationalization of higher education: the model of university development,Westernization,and localization are difficult to balanceFinally,based on Jane Knight ’s strategic cycle theory of internationalization of higher education,combining the advantages and disadvantages of higher education internationalization development in Yunnan Province,this thesis discusses the development path of higher education internationalization in Yunnan Province.First of all,it is necessary to clarify the development direction of higher education internationalization,that is,return to theessence,respect the rules,and enhance cultural self-confidence.Secondly,through a series of development strategies to build a virtuous circle of higher education in Yunnan Province:strengthen the top-level design to ensure the environment for the development of internationalization of higher education;actively solve the problems in the practice of internationalization of higher education;improve quality assurance and reward mechanisms to consolidate the cycle of higher education internationalization.
