Children’s education magazine was one of the earliest educational magazines in modern China,which took children as the research object,kindergarten education,primary school education and family education as the research content,and kindergarten and primary school teachers as the target readers.In the 10 years from1928 to 1937,the journal was suspended due to the war.It had a total of 8 volumes and 68 issues,which had a strong pioneering and leading role in the field of children’s education.The birth of children’s education and the National child education association of China behind it benefited from the vigorous development of children’s education thoughts at home and abroad,and was also the direct embodiment of the movement of the advanced educators in China to carry out the transformation of preschool education.Children’s education was attached to the issue of China children’s education society.Its purpose was to build an academic exchange platform,communicated kindergarten and family education,and promoted the cause of kindergarten education.With its tenet of "providing specific teaching materials and discussing practical methods",professional writers and the educational concept of keeping pace with the times,Children’s education stood out at that time and became a must read publication for teachers and students in the field of children’s education.The Journal of Children’s education contributed to the development of infant education in modern China in three aspects: the cultivation of research team,the construction of educational theory system and the exploration,dissemination and reflection of professional knowledge.First,Under the guidance of Chen Heqin,the editor in chief of Children’s education,a large number of like-minded and childish education researchers had gathered.There ware university teachers,primary school teachers,kindergarten teachers,magazine editors and other practitioners in this group.They had accepted the advanced concept of children’s education,had strong academic background,and had great enthusiasm for the cause of children’s education reform.The Journal of children’s education focused on guiding the author’s research direction,building an academic exchange platform,providing a sustained and stabling professional output channel,and cultivating a stable and professional research team of modern preschooleducation.Second,Children’s education had initially constructed the framework of modern preschool education theory system,established and promoted the concept of children centered preschool education,put forward a holistic,scientific and practical curriculum concept,and explored and promoted the Sinicization of modern preschool education from many aspects.Third,as a carrier of communication,Children education had realized the discussion of professional knowledge by the kindergarten educators and solved some basic problems in the development of kindergarten education.At the same time,as a media,it had affected a large number of kindergarten education researchers,front-line teachers and normal students in school,strengthened the readers’ confidence in the reform of kindergarten education,and answered the readers’ questions All kinds of perplexities in preschool education guided the practical work of preschool education at that time.The self-conscious exploration of kindergarten education in modern China by Children’s education was not only the integration of modern Chinese and Western children’s education thoughts and culture,but also the vivid embodiment of the independent exploration of the Sinicization of modern children’s education.
