In recent years,Singapore students in "trend of mathematics and science study(TIMSS)","international reading literacy research(PIRLS)" and "progress for international student assessment(PISA)international tests such as well,while the teacher is affected a nation’s overall education one of the key factors of success,it caught the attention of the people of Singapore teachers education success and thinking.The challenge of producing high-quality teachers is high on the education policy agenda of many countries,and a key to the success of teacher education in Singapore has been the rigorous quality assurance mechanisms put in place by its teacher education body(the National Institute of Education NIE).This paper systematically studies and analyzes the mechanism of teacher education quality assurance in Singapore by using literature,comparative,historical and interview methods.Teacher education in Singapore originated in colonial times.The establishment of the Institute of Education in 1972 was a starting point for the development of the teacher education quality assurance mechanism in Singapore.Since then,the Singapore government has strengthened the improvement of the teacher education function,and the teacher education quality assurance mechanism in Singapore has gradually taken shape.With the implementation of "Teacher Education Model in the21 st Century",the quality assurance mechanism of teacher education in Singapore has been improved day by day.NIE in stark foer beim(Stufflebeam)proposed by the CIPP model for the evaluation of the project(the Context,Input,Process,Product)on the basis of after many changes to the teachers’ education quality assurance framework is established,and stressed that Singapore is the purpose of establishing the teacher education quality assurance mechanism to ensure accountability and quality improvement,quality and promote the quality of teacher education to promote sustainability.Through interviews with stakeholders,it was found that Both their self-interest and their needs Basic satisfaction is also one of the characteristics of Singapore teacher education quality assurance mechanism.In addition,the quality assurance mechanism of teacher education in Singapore is operated and guaranteed from four aspects: student selection,curriculum setting,practice and evaluation.Specifically,the Singapore NIE has established the quality assurance chain of teacher education and training in Singapore through four aspects: building high attraction and high threshold student quality,improving preparatory teacher training courses and improving classroom teaching efficiency,establishing complete and efficient education practice,and continuously dynamic evaluation and monitoring of training programs.The rapid change of school education in the new era has created a demand for high-quality teachers."Quality" has become the core issue of teacher education,which requires the establishment of a rigorous quality chain among students’ academic performance,teacher quality,teacher education quality and the quality assurance mechanism of colleges and universities.This not only brings great pressure of quality assurance to teacher education and cultivation in our country,but also is the power to reform and perfect the quality assurance mechanism.Based on the research and analysis of the teacher education quality assurance mechanism in Singapore and the current situation of the development of teacher education in China,some enlightenment can be obtained: China should raise the corresponding access threshold of the teacher industry,improve the treatment and status of teachers;Establish a unified framework standard to standardize the development system of teacher education;To strengthen the tripartite cooperative relationship between government,normal colleges and primary and secondary schools in order to standardize and unify the development of teacher education in China;Perfect the practice system,strengthen the combination of theory and practice;Establish a complete teacher education evaluation mechanism.
