The "three rural issues" are fundamental issues related to the national economy and people’s livelihood.As a national strategy to solve the "three rural issues",Rural Revitalization Strategy is oriented to the vast rural areas and farmers in China,and its essence is how to allocate human resources.Higher education,as the center of resource collection,leads higher education resources to rural areas,which helps to accumulate human capital for rural areas,revitalize rural spiritual culture,construct education service space from point to area,face the rural poor,and improve rural social poverty.As an important part of rural education,normal colleges and universities should take the initiative to serve local social development.Based on the theory of external relations of education,Schultz’s theory of human capital,Amartya Sen’s theory of ability poverty and the theory of social service function of colleges and universities,this paper discusses the historical context of higher education serving rural society since the rural education movement,the relevant policies issued by the state and the existing problems of higher education serving rural society.Secondly,this study takes x school as the research object,which is a successful case of higher education serving the rural society.It combs the 23 years’ development process of X school,and summarizes the relevant interests of the government,normal universities,rural schools and students in the three links of pre job,in job and post job The main body of the linkage conditions.Thirdly,this study conducted a questionnaire survey on the students of X school who participated in the poverty alleviation internship in 2020,and interviewed the person in charge of the poverty alleviation internship in various education bureaus,the person in charge of the poverty alleviation internship in X school,the leading teachers,the instructors and the principals of primary and secondary schools in the internship base,so as to sort out the overall implementation effect of the poverty alleviation internship in X school and its impact on each school The influence of stakeholders.Finally,according to the operation mechanism and first-hand research data of X school,and combined with the motivation and advantages of Local Normal Colleges and universities in serving the rural society,this paper sorts out the conditions for local normal colleges and universities to implement the mode of poverty alleviation and post practice.It includes:the local government should give policy and financial support,colleges and universities should establish a perfect operation mechanism of internship,internship base should provide basic logistics support,students should strictly self-management to adapt to the role change.
