With the continuous advancement of my country’s new urbanization strategy,a large number of new generations of migrant workers have poured into cities,contributing their own efforts to urban construction and social and economic development.The new generation of migrant workers needs high-quality employment if they want to integrate into the city and settle down in the city.The quality of employment is not only related to their living conditions and quality of life,but also affects their social interactions with local urban residents,their adaptation to the city,and their sense of belonging,which in turn affects their urban integration and settlement.Therefore,from the perspective of the new generation of migrant workers,this article studies how the quality of employment affects their urban integration.This article uses the National Health Commission’s 2017 National Migrant Population Dynamics Monitoring Survey data to conduct research,selects the new generation of migrant workers as the research object,uses a multiple linear regression model to empirically study the impact of employment quality on urban integration,and uses quantile regression.The method explored the difference in the impact on different quantiles;then,the new generation of migrant labor sub-samples were analyzed for heterogeneity,and the Oaxaca-Blinder decomposition method was used to conduct a differential decomposition study on its integration.Regression analysis results show that the labor compensation,social security and job stability variables of the new generation of migrant workers have a significant positive impact on their urban integration,while labor intensity variables have a significant negative impact on their urban integration.The variables of labor compensation,social security,and job stability have the strongest positive impact on the new generation of migrant workers with middle and high integration at the 0.75 centile;the labor intensity variable has the strongest impact on the new generation of migrant workers with high integration,and has the strongest impact on the low integration.The new generation of rural migrant workers has the least impact.The impact of the employment quality of the new generation of migrant workers on their urban integration has heterogeneous differences in gender,educational background,and mobility range.The urban integration of the new generation of migrant workers of different genders and different mobility ranges is mainly caused by discrimination;labor compensation,social security,labor intensity,and job stability variables will expand the urban integration of the new generation of migrant workers with different educational backgrounds.On the premise of the previous conclusions,the following policy recommendations are put forward: establish a reasonable income growth mechanism;increase the social security participation rate and improve the social security system;standardize the working hours of the new generation of migrant workers and legally guarantee leisure time;increase the rate of signing labor contracts;differentiate The new generation of migrant workers with different characteristics will implement precise policies.
