| As an essential section of the modern system,vocational education focuses on the value and goal of improving the quality of personnel training,exploring “how to cultivate people” and “cultivating what kinds of people”all the time.According to the requirements of the Outline of the National Medium and Long-term Talent Development Plan(2010),we need to achieve the goal that the proportion of high-skilled talents among skilled workers reach 28% by 2020.Secondary vocational education,as a vital part of the vocational education system,shoulders the critical task of training tens of thousands of high-quality technical and skilled talents.The demand for talent literacy is getting increasingly higher in modern society.Today,employers pay more attention to vocational school graduates’ core literacy and the orientation of talents in secondary vocational education,which inherently determines that the cultivation of talents in secondary vocational schools should emphasize students’ core literacy.However,secondary vocational schools are influenced by traditional instrumental rational values and practical utilitarianism,and the trained talents cannot meet the development needs of enterprises and institutions.Therefore,secondary vocational schools urgently need to abandon the traditional,skills-oriented,tool-worship educational concept,and to guide education reform,so as to continuously meet the modern society’s needs for high-quality,practice-based and skilled talents.In view of this,the purpose of this study is to investigation the present situation of secondary vocational school students core literacy,problems,develop strategies for research,with in-depth answer secondary education “how to train people” and “cultivating what kind of person” so as to improve the training quality of secondary vocational students and beneficial to the long-term development of secondary vocational students for vocational education and contributions to the economic and social development of our country.This study consists of five sections:First,the introduction.The research background and research significance are introduced in detail at the beginning,in which the research significance is divided into two parts: theoretical significance and practical significance.Next is the research trends at home and abroad,which mainly includes four parts: research on the concept and construction of subject core literacy,the cultivation of students’ core literacy,the international comparative study of core literacy,and the research of vocational education core literacy.The last is the content and methods of the research.Second,the concept definition and theoretical basis.This section defines the concepts of core literacy,the composition of core literacy,the core literacy of secondary vocational school students,and the composition of secondary vocational school students’ core literacy.Then the theoretical basis of this study is put forward: one is Marx’s theory of all-round development of human beings;the other is the theory of the hierarchy of needs.Finally,the author in this section discusses the necessity and possibility of cultivating core literacy of secondary vocational school students.Third,the investigation and analysis the current situation of the development of students’ core literacy in the secondary vocational school.The study is mainly carried out among students and teachers in the sixth secondary vocational school in H city.The questionnaire is divided into two parts: student questionnaire and teacher questionnaire.The investigation and research on the core literacy of students in secondary vocational schools include the selection of survey objects and samples,the design of the questionnaire and data collection.Finally,the results of the survey are presented.Then points out the status quo of students’ core literacy in three aspects: cultural foundation,independent development and social participation and the situation of teachers in implementing students’ core literacy.Fourth,the existing problems of students’ core literacy and the reason analysis the cultivation of students’ core literacy in secondary vocational schools.It is found that the students in secondary vocational schools are lack of basic cultural know ledge.Besides,their ability of independent development is weak,and their awareness of social participation is low.Main reason to core literacy of secondary vocational school students are set forth in this paper,include the government’s unclear policy strength to support secondary vocational schools,complex social environments affect the core of students,a lot of bad family factors.and the imperfect school system and mechanism,teachers’ weak awareness of implementing students’ core literacy,the secondary vocational students are not motivated to learn.Fifth,the deliberate introduction of specific countermeasures to cultivation the core literacy of students in secondary vocational schools.In this section,cultivation specific measures to improve the core literacy of students in secondary vocational schools,the main steps are as follows:External level include the government should clear policy strength to support secondary vocational schools and do better in terms of leading the top level of core literacy,create a favorable social and cultural environment and do a good job in the penetration of students’ core qualities,then parents should actively guide and improve the space for the development of core literacy.Internal level,we should cultivate a well-rounded person,accurately grasp the connotation of students’ core literacy,and we will improve the training model and build a curriculum system of students’ core literacy,as for teachers,they should continuously improve their professional literacy,promote the implementation of students’ core literacy,and transfer the focus of teaching instrumental rationality to core literacy,then the students should set up lofty career ideals and consciously practice their core literacy. |
