Analysis Of Coordination Between Industrial Structure And Employment Structure In Meishan Under New Urbanization Construction

As a key part of the national new urbanization strategy,it is necessary to promote the coordinated development of industrial structure and employment structure.Due to the strong connection with each other,the foundation of employment lies in industry.Nowadays,labor is an essential element of the industry since the production efficiency is still not developed.The change of any party will affect the other.Thus,the high-quality and healthy development of economy and society can be promoted through the coordinated development between the two.With the constant optimization of the industrial structure and employment structure of Meishan City since the reform and opening up,what should be pointed out is that the adjustment of employment structure obviously lags behind the industrial structure under the influence of the foundation of industrialization,policies,and the process of urbanization,which still has large gap in contrast with more developed areas in terms of its overall economic development.When it comes to the new urbanization strategy,it varies from the traditional urbanization,which focuses on the principle of "people-oriented" and the development of small cities.Based on this,a new influence on the coordination between the industrial structure and employment structure of Meishan City will be inevitably caused.If the constant imbalance happen between the two continues,the new urbanization process of Meishan City will be hindered.In view of it,the research on the coordination between industrial structure and employment structure in the context of new urbanization in Meishan City is conducted in this thesis,and the policy suggestions are proposed to promote the highquality and healthy development of economy and society in Meishan City.Firstly,the method of literature research is adopted in this thesis to carry out the analysis on the existing literature about new urbanization,industrial structure,employment structure and coordination in China and research the coordination between the two,which lays the theory foundation for this thesis.Secondly,the industrial structure and the development process of employment structure in Meishan City since the reform and opening up are analyzed.The quantitative analysis on the correlation between the two is analyzed in line with correlation coefficient,employment elasticity and relative labor productivity.Then,the quantitative analysis on the correlation between the two is analyzed through the coefficient of structural deviation and coordination,which also carries out the comparative analysis on the coordination with other cities and regions.By combining with the research of other scholars,it finds out the factors influencing the coordinated development of industrial structure and employment structure in Meishan City,and obtains the conclusions as follows.With close connection between the industrial structure and employment structure of various industries in Meishan city from the 1970 s and 1980 s to nowadays,the bad situation appears in the coordination.For this,it is found that the primary industry still has more surplus labor force,the secondary and tertiary industries are slow in absorbing employment,since the employment structure adjustment can not keep up with the speed of industrial structure upgrading.The coordination between the industrial structure and employment structure of Meishan City has been significantly improved after the implementing the new urbanization strategy.Due to the rapid development of the tertiary industry,it has promoted the transfer of labor force to the tertiary industry,while it is still in a relatively unbalanced state for the overall situation between the two.Finally,some policy suggestions are proposed from the acceleration of industrial upgrading,the promotion of labor transfer and the improvement of the residents’ employment,industrial imbalance.In this way,the construction of new urbanization in Meishan City can be promoted,so that the coordinated development of industrial structure and employment structure of Meishan City can be further enhanced.
