Xi Jinping’s Socialist Ideological Education with Chinese Characteristics in the New Era is a guiding ideology that the party and the country must adhere to for a long time to come,and a spiritual guide for training new people in The Times.Middle school students are in the period of drastic changes of physical and mental development,the ideological education of middle school students is of great significance for the implementation of the fundamental task of moral cultivation and the consolidation of marxist ideological position.Therefore,it is necessary to grasp the current situation of the ideological education of middle school students,find the main problems,analyze the causes of the problems,put forward effective educational countermeasures,enhance the effectiveness of education,improve the ideological and political quality of middle school students.Firstly,this paper takes the basic concept of Xi Jinping’s Socialist Ideological Education with Chinese Characteristics in the New Era as the logical starting point and discusses the connotation and components of the ideological education of middle school students.This paper studies Marx and Engels’ thoughts on ideological and moral education for teenagers,MAO Zedong’s thoughts on ideological and moral education for teenagers and the socialist thoughts on ideological and moral education for teenagers with Chinese characteristics,and lays a solid theoretical foundation.Secondly,this paper analyzes the ideological education of middle school students by means of questionnaire survey.The survey shows that on the whole,most students think the educational concept is more scientific;The majority of students said the school focuses on the Chinese dream and core values.Nearly 80% of schools focus on theoretical education.Most students say the school environment is good.However,some problems are also found through in-depth analysis,and the educational concept needs to be further scientific.There are some differences between the actual educational content and the students’ tendency.The education method is greatly influenced by the traditional indoctrination method and has the defects of simplification.Compared with the school environment,the family environment and interpersonal environment are relatively poor.The main reasons for the above problems include the weak awareness of core literacy,the separation of educational content from students’ reality,the lack of integration and innovation of educational methods,and the weak cooperation among schools,families and society.Finally,to enhance the effectiveness of the ideological education of middle school students in the new era,we should establish the concept of core literacy and change the status quo of valuing knowledge over literacy.Second,we should follow the law of middle school students’ physical and mental development,close to the middle school students’ curriculum,and construct the educational content by discipline and stage.Third,we should adhere to the combination of theory with practice,he taught self-discipline,reality and virtual integration of education methods;Fourth,we should strengthen the construction of campus environment,interpersonal environment and family environment to form educational synergy.
