| Academic performance is closely related to students’ employment,How to improve academic performance is a problem that schools,families and society pay close attention to.Academic achievement is not only related to intelligence factors,but also related to students’ emotional intelligence.Most of the existing researches on emotional intelligence focus on enterprise employees,collegers and middle school students,but for senior primary school students,there is little research on them.Senior primary school students are about to enter middle school,They are in a transitional period physically and psychologically,They are still faced with problems such as entrance examination,emotional distress is inevitable,The impact of emotional intelligence on their academic performance can not be underestimated.In view of this,the study conducted a questionnaire survey on 639 primary school students of grade 5 and 6,and found that: the overall emotional intelligence development level of primary school students is on the middle side,in which the development of individual internal,adaptability and stress management is on the middle side,interpersonal development is in the dominant level,and the adaptability level is the lowest;For gender differences in emotional intelligence,there is obvious difference on them.The higher the education level of parents,the better the development of children’s emotional intelligence.The influence of father’s education level on the development of children’s emotional intelligence is more significant than that of mother’s.About adaptability,the ability of stress management in each dimension of emotional intelligence has a positive predictive effect on academic performance,and the research on the intervention of emotional intelligence mainly focuses on stress management.Through further questionnaires and interviews,it is found that the stressors of senior primary school students mainly come from learning content,examination,parents and social interaction.According to the mechanism of stress management and empirical research,group counseling activities can significantly improve students’ stress management level.In this study,group psychological counseling activities were used to intervene the stress management ability of senior primary school students for a semester.The results show that: the group auxiliary activities can effectively improve the overall stress management ability of students,and the intervention effect of parents’ stress and examination stress is the most significant;the improvement of stress management ability can improve the academic performance of senior primary school students.Finally,on the basis of the research,the following education suggestions are put forward:strengthen the EQ education of senior primary school students,especially the cultivation of adaptability;attach importance to parents’ education,and suggest that fathers actively participate in children’s education;improve the stress management ability of senior primary school students,and improve academic performance. |
