Special education is an integral part of education for all,and a window to measure the quality of national education and the level of social civilization.In recent years,the scale of special education schools has gradually expanded,and the educational objects have shown diversification and complexity.Strengthening the construction of special teachers is the key to improving the quality of education and teaching.For a long period of time in the future,non-special education teachers will still be the main force in the teaching staff of special education schools.Their professional abilities affect the development of children with special needs,as well as the quality and speed of the development of special education.Therefore,exploring the professional development approaches and training models of special education teachers to improve their professional level is a topic worthy of attention and research.This article takes "Special Education Teacher Professional Standards(Trial)" as the basic guideline for leading the professional growth of special education teachers.It takes special education schools in S City,Guangdong Province as the research object.The status quo of literacy,training participation,training effects,training expectations,etc.The survey found that there are few special education teachers with strong professional literacy and rich experience in special education.In general,the awareness of professional development needs to be improved,and the level of special education teaching ability is also low.On-the-job training not only affects teachers’ adjustments to their own development,but is also a factor that affects teachers’ participation enthusiasm.Through the analysis of the survey data,this paper finds that there is a certain distance between the professional quality of teachers in S school and the "Special Education Teacher Professional Standards",and the opportunities for professional training among teachers are not balanced.The data shows that the training problems are: the training activities are out of touch with actual needs;the training time is insufficient;the training form is single;the teachers are not motivated to participate.There are many reasons for these problems,which are mainly summarized as the following aspects: lack of systematic training planning by competent departments and schools;lack of necessary resources for training;inadequate training management;insufficient motivation for teacher development.Finally,based on the professional development status and training practice of teachers in special education schools,and the analysis of the problems and causes,corresponding improvement strategies are proposed,in order to provide references for subsequent schools to improve on-the-job training of teachers.Specific optimization strategies mainly include the following four aspects: develop development plans based on teacher needs;integrate training resources and carry out diversified training;strengthen training management to improve development quality and efficiency;improve incentive mechanisms and create a supportive atmosphere.
