Under the background of rural revitalization,the role of rural teachers is facing new challenges and opportunities,optimization and transformation.For rural teachers as intellectuals,in addition to their professional roles,they also have certain public responsibilities to clarify and undertake.Therefore,the specific content of studying the public role of rural teachers is to meet the natural needs of the new era.Exploring the optimal path of the role of rural teachers’ intellectuals is the meaning of promoting teachers’ development.Rural teachers are the intellectual representatives of rural society.As the main body of education,they can participate in school democratic management and rural social governance,put forward questions and suggestions in school decision-making and management,cultivate excellent talents,improve ideological and moral construction,inherit local culture,lead folk customs,etc.They are the participants and supervisors of school scientific management,the think tank and staff of rural social governance,and the backbone to play the role of educational support and promote the development of educational management under the strategy of Rural Revitalization.Starting with the research origin of the introduction,this paper explains the relevant historical background of the topic.In addition,in order to explore the current scientific research status of the subject,it also introduces the summary contents of domestic and foreign papers respectively,and determines the key research purpose and scientific research significance of the paper from the combination of theory and practice.After the definition of the core categories involved,the theoretical foundation,research ideas and specific methods of the research topic are clarified.There are three main methods to be used:literature method,investigation and research method and grounded theory.Then,taking the M area where the rural revitalization construction is being implemented as the research site and the three rural schools located in the M area as the research object,the teachers of the three rural schools were given questionnaires,the school principals,school leaders,some rural teachers and village committee cadres were interviewed,and the rural revitalization construction environment in the M area and the environment of the three rural schools were observed on the spot.In addition,with the help of grounded theory coding technology,the interview data obtained are deeply sorted and analyzed,and then the three-level coding content is formed.Finally,the theoretical model of this research topic is constructed according to the logical relationship between category and main category,and the main framework of this paper is arranged according to the theoretical model.Through the investigation process and results,it can be seen that in the process of giving full play to the role of intellectuals,rural teachers have some difficulties,such as the weakening of the influence of rural teachers,the structural imbalance of teachers,the imperfect welfare treatment and promotion space of teachers,the lack of democratic participation channels in rural school decision-making,and the lack of contact and communication between village committee and school departments.The researchers summarized three reasons,namely,the cognitive imbalance of relevant subjects,the disadvantages of school management system and the impact of rural social environment.In order to alleviate the above difficulties,it is suggested to optimize the intellectual role of rural teachers from the following ways,mainly covering three aspects: first,rural teachers strengthen self-management and give full play to their subjective initiative,including teaching students critical thinking,stimulating classroom teaching imagination,establishing a correct concept of job selection and improving the structure of teachers.The second is to reform the management system of rural schools and eliminate the disadvantages of the bureaucratic system,including reasonably setting the content of posts,protecting teachers’ professional rights,improving school welfare and expanding the space for career promotion.Third,the village committee should build a rural governance community to promote rural revitalization,including strengthening the publicity of educational functions,improving rural social cognition,broadening the contact channels between village schools,absorbing suggestions and suggestions from schools,etc.In addition,in order to enable rural teachers to better play the role of intellectuals-to participate in school democratic management and rural social governance,corresponding security strategies need to be equipped.The proposed strategies are as follows: first,relevant departments issue specific policy support;Second,avoid unnecessary work overload of rural teachers;Third,rural schools should establish corresponding honor and evaluation system;Fourth,create a democratic and inclusive atmosphere in rural society.In the last part of the summary and prospect,the whole research process and results are summarized,and the existing problems of the research are reflected,so as to provide experience accumulation for relevant research in the future.
