A Study On Frustration Education In Urban Junior High Schools ——Take The M Middle School In Huaibei City As An Example

The society nowadays witnesses the buoyant development,which provides conditions for further human development,also imposes pressure onto people due to excessive competition.As the future of the country and the hope of the nation,junior high school students shall bear their responsibilities over the course of the development of the country and the nation,and they need to have good overall qualities.In actual life,however,secondary school students are also facing enormous pressure,while the phenomenon of frustration is increasing.And hence,it is indispensable to strengthen frustration education for junior high school students from the objective perspective.Meanwhile,the country also realizes the importance of frustration education for students,and has taken a series of measures to promote such education in order to boost students’ healthy growth.In an effort to understand the status quo of frustration education in schools and enhance the education in this regard,this study has taken M Middle School in Huaibei City,Anhui Province as its subject and conducted in-depth research,which is underpinned by the method of questionnaire survey,interview survey,and observation method.With respect to the survey on junior high school students,it centered on four dimensions of the student’s frustration,namely,cognition,emotion,intention,and action.In this way,this study can fully grasp the status quo of students’ frustration.The survey indicated that the overall level of frustration resistance of urban junior high school students was low,that is,they may not be able to overcome frustration when facing it.At the same time,students’ frustration may vary in gender,grade level,and household registration,etc.And female students’ frustration resistance was slightly higher than that of male students’;whereas seventh grade students’ frustration resistance may be higher than that of the eighth and ninth grade,among them,eighth grade students’ frustration resistance was the worst;As to students with urban household registration,their mean values of cognitive,emotional,behavioral,and total mean scores of frustration were greater than those with rural household registration.Many factors such as peer interaction issues,academic stress,family environment problems,personal health,romantic problems,and teacher-student relationship may inflict students’ frustration.Regarding the survey on teachers,it focused on the perception,content,methods,and evaluation of frustration education in urban junior high schools,so as to understand the status of frustration education efforts that have been carried out.Through the adaptive analysis of the frustration education activities that have been carried out in schools and the frustration status of the frustration education object(students),reflect on the frustration education that has been carried out in urban junior high schools.The main problems of frustration education in urban junior high schools are as follows: schools don’t pay much attention to frustration education、the school lacks the correct goal orientation for frustration education、the content of frustration education is not perfect、a single method of frustration education、school setbacks education system is not perfect.The main reasons for the problems of school frustration education are as follows: the administrative department of education lacks guidance and assessment on school frustration education、school frustration education lack of systematic work arrangements、lack of curriculum resources for frustration education in schools、the school lacks teachers of frustration education、urban parents have irrational cognition of school frustration education.In response to the problems and their causes in current frustration education in urban junior high schools,this study has proposed suggestions for further improving the education in those schools based on a humanistic management perspective.Frustration education for students is a systematic program requiring the joint efforts of schools,society,and families.From the school’s perspective,in order to further improve the frustration education in urban junior high schools,it is necessary for schools to systematically plan for frustration education,enrich the content system of frustration education,innovating the development form of frustration education,build up appropriate teaching teams,and improve conditions for frustration education.
