The development of emotion regulation ability and is closely related to the development of children’s social emotional ability, and emotion regulation ability plays an important role in the development of children’s emotional and personality.Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder(ADHD)is a common mental development disorder.More and more studies have found that children with ADHD have abnormal emotion regulation, and it will impair their social function. Therefore, further study of the emotional regulation ability of children with ADHD is beneficial to further clarify the development characteristics and laws of their emotion regulation.Furthermore, some suggestions are provided to improve the emotional regulation ability of children with ADHD.A total of 62 ADHD children were included in this study. The age ranged from preschool to third grade. The emotional regulation ability of children with ADHD was measured by setting emotional situations to induce negative emotions and emotional regulation story projection, further analyzed the differences in emotional regulation ability of children with ADHD in age and subtype. At the same time, the relationship between emotion regulation ability and executive function was explored, which sub-components of executive function at different ages contribute to emotional regulation is also explored, and the regression model of inhibition control on emotional regulation ability of children with ADHD was established. The initial results were followed:(1)Overall,the explicit behavior of emotion regulation of children with ADHD is notsuitable, and the internal cognitive performance is at a medium level.(2)Children with ADHD had differences in learning stages in the internal cognitive of emotion regulation.School-age children with ADHD performed better than preschool children with ADHD.At the level of behavior expression,it was relatively stable, and inappropriate behavior was easy to occur in negative emotional situations.(3)There were subtype differences in emotional regulation ability of children with ADHD at the level of behavioral expression.Compared with children with ADD,the inappropriate emotion regulation behaviors of children with ADHD and HD had significantly increased.,and there was no significant difference between children with ADHD and HD.(4)The emotional regulation ability of children with ADHD was significantly correlated with the inhibitory control in both behavioral expression and internal cognitive.Inhibitory control has a good regression effect on the emotional regulation ability of children with ADHD.(5)At different ages, inhibitory control was the main sub-component of emotional regulation吗ability, which again confirmed that inhibitory control was an important factor affecting the emotional regulation ability of children with ADHD.In order to improve emotion regulation of children with ADHD.Firstly, attention should be paid to the emotional regulation ability of children with ADHD in the education process and daily life.Secondly, from the perspective of executive function, the inhibitory control ability training of children ADHD should be strengthened. Finally, explore multiple ways to improve the emotional regulation ability of children with ADHD.
